About this apartment rental
Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Your master suite opens to its own Florida room. It has its own entrance that opens to the beautifully landscaped gardens and pool. Enjoy the true feeling of living in a neighborhood of Historic downtown Key West. You are minutes from Duval Street with walking access to all that Historic Key West has to offer.
Master suite off of a cigar barons mansion with heated Jacuzzi tub and shower. Has its own entrance to the gardens and pool. Enjoy a large private Florida room with mini refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, Wi-Fi, TV and outside grill.
The large private garden and pool is shared with two other guest cottages. The property is fully gated in a neighborhood just minutes from Duval Street and all of Historic downtown.
Our neighborhood is in the cuban section of Key West at the turn of the century. The main house was built in the 1870's and served as a cuban cigar Baron's mansion with his workers housed around him. The 2nd oldest salt water tide pool existed on the property. The oldest being Hemingways pool only blocks away. Across the street from us, It is worth mentioning , the cemetery that represents the sinking of the Maine in Cuba , that started the war of 1812. The cemetery is a New Orleans above ground type. Walk to your favorite neighborhood coffee house or grab a beer at the convenience store across the street.
No need to drive anywhere from our location. If you chose not to walk, there is bike, scooter, and golf cart rentals available. There is also a free bus that circles the downtown district. A great way to learn more about Key West is through the Conch train Tour.

Great stay, would book it again. The parking isn't guaranteed (there isn't one with "this" unit), but they usually can get you one (they have two, and if one of the others flew in, etc.). Charles was able to get us one, and it was great. He also offered to move his car and trade us (there are two non-resident ones nearby that could be held, I guess). There really is no parking anywhere so you walk everywhere and leave your car. This unit is near the cemetery, a 5/6 block walk down Olivia to Duval. We walked everywhere. Unit has a Keurig, a small number of dishes/wine glass/mugs, as well as listed appliances. The pool was great to cool off, and we only briefly saw other guests from the other two units. It seems bigger than the pictures make it look. Charles was great at communicating, and we said hello each morning as we walked by his porch. He gave great local suggestions. Karen was there when we arrived and directed us to the parking. Cute Cuban coffee shop just blocks away on the corner of Truman/Center for breakfast, lots of other things close too. Can pretty much walk to anything in less than about 8 blocks (South Point, New Harbor/Old Harbor, Mallory, Hemingway, etc.) Thanks, Charles, for a great stay. We'll look to book again next time we're back.

I really like staying here. This is our 2nd time we stayed at this Vrbo. I like the location in Key West. The host is very friendly and everything is very clean and neat.
