About this villa rental
Villa on two levels located a few meters from the beach of Marina di Sorso, close to the town, consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 located on the ground floor and a third on the upper floor, with a large room with fireplace, bathroom with shower and kitchenette. The Villa has a large terrace overlooking the sea and a covered porch where you can have lunch and dinner in front of the beach. The seafront villa has direct access to the shore. The beach in front of the accommodation varies its characteristics from year to year depending on the marine weather: sandy, pebbly or covered with algae. However, for sand lovers, within 5 km there are some of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Sardinia. Within 60 km there are some of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Sardinia: Castelsardo, Stintino, Alghero, Badesi, Valledoria, Isola Rossa etc. The house is ideal for those who love a holiday in absolute privacy, but a few minutes drive from the entertainment center

The villa is a few kilometers from Sassari, Castelsardo, Costa Smeralda, Alghero and Costa Paradiso. The villa is located in a strategic position to reach the most famous destinations in Northern Sardinia.
Centrally located on the coast of the Gulf of Asinara, the town of Marina di Sorso remains about halfway between Porto Torres and Castelsardo, and offers its long sandy expanse surrounded by the emerald waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the green of the Mediterranean scrub which, quilting the sand dunes of the coast, surrounds everything with its pleasant natural setting.
Marina di Sorso is easily reached thanks to its proximity to Porto Torres, connected by ferries departing from Genoa and Marseille. Marina di Sorso is also located near Sassari which constitutes one of the most famous beaches together with that of Platamona.
To arrive: Once you arrive in Porto Torres, follow the road to the east called Sp81, which leads following the profile of the coast to Maritza. Marina di Sorso is located about 16 km away from Porto Torres.
The climate in Marino di Sorso is perfect for a holiday during the summer season, when the coastal resorts of the Gulf of Asinara fill with holidaymakers who come to enjoy the wonderful and uncrowded sea of Platamona, Marina di Sorso and nearby Eden Beach .
Summer is in fact a long season, which starts from May and arrives in mid-October with the absence or almost of rain and winds. The temperatures of July and August are positioned at values slightly above 30 °, the sea waters maintain values around 24 ° C in the months of July and August.
The long beach surrounded by the remarkable greenery of the coast attracts many vacationers. This is the natural execution of Platamona beach, which extends wide to the west of Marina di Sorso. The beach then continues eastward, going to join the beach of Eden Beach, near Maritza.

The Villa is wonderfully located near great beaches. It was a central place for the places I wanted to visit in Sardegna. The house was very nice and Vanna was extremely nice and helpful throughout our stay. The place was a bit hard to find at first, but overall I would stay here again.

The villa is set in beautiful grounds, a stones throw from the sea, so you can hear the waves. Lovely big patio area with plenty of seating - whether you prefer shade or sun, there is plenty of space for both.
Inside, the villa is traditional in style, with a new kitchen which had everything we needed when we wanted to eat in. The beds were comfortable and it was very relaxing in the evening to sit in the living area with the windows open, listening to the waves and the crickets, and enjoying the breeze to cool down after a hot day in the sun.
The location was good - within a short drive to lots of nice beaches and towns such as Castelsardo and Porto Torres.
The host was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We were made to feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and we’re sad to be leaving.

We spent a wonderful week in this lovely home by the sea.. The sound of the ocean was our constant backdrop. We saw beautiful sunsets and enjoyed eating fruits and vegetables fresh from the garden. The grounds are very well-cared-for with lovely flowers. The home is very quiet and relaxing, near charming local villages. The host was welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this house.

Sited on the Sassari Riveria, the villa has easy access to sandy beaches along the coastline to Platamona. The nicest are turns off the main road through pine woods, and there may be a cafe alongside a free car park. La Pelosa at Stintino is a 45 minute drive away and is currently ticketed - arrive early to find paid parking. Sassari centre, for some city action, is a 20 minute drive.
However, there is pretty much everything you need within the villa itself - a beautiful sea view where you can watch Corsica emerge as the sun sets, a pebble beach good for snorkelling in the mornings when the sea is calm (essential to wear reef shoes), and a pretty garden well stocked with herbs and two varieties of green and purple figs that you can pick.
Inside the house are plenty of towels, kitchen equipment - kettle, microwave, cooker, toaster, washing machine, soap and cleaning equipment, beach umbrellas and pump for your lilo. There’s an air con unit, but we didn’t use this preferring to leave the windows open (mosquito nets in place, but the light breeze meant no mosquitoes!). Access is via a fast and busy road at the back of the house and requires caution when exiting; and this can be a bit noisy at night if you, like us, prefer to have windows open.
A nice touch on our arrival was a tour by the owner (with the assistance of google translate) with thoughtful gifts of fruit, pastries, water and soft drinks for tired travellers.
