About this house rental
This 160 year old seaman’s house is located at the edge of the village of Born, near the Bodden (about 300 m). With its thatched roof and loam walls, it has a very natural feeling. The low ceilings (2.05 m – 2.15 m) and tiled stove make it very cozy indeed. It was renovated between 1995 and 1999, and is situated in a large garden.

The building is nice, in a quiet part of the village with good possibilities for cycling and walking. The facade towards the street is renovated, on the backside its still the old east-german style. The garden is fine, a little green for the kids, some trees and the place to sit is ok.
The building inside has character, the ceilings are low and it smells old moist. The furniture is functional, the bathroom is nice. The old tiled stove is fully functional what can be nice if the weather should be cold. But ...
the house wasn't very clean when we came, dirt under the beds and sofas is not very sexy. Bedsheets and towels are NOT included, which is a bit discouraging considering the price.
Summary: Ok place to stay for the summer, character and smell and all – but a bit pricy considering cleanness and standard.
