About this house rental
TRANQUIL RETREAT -Three bedroom home situated on a mini 'On Golden Pond'. Only three other homes on the privately owned 10 acre pond. Paddleboat or kayaks- all available onsite to navigate the crystal clear water. Located on the dammed end of the pond, you'll be serenaded by the sound of water running over the dam into the creek below. Also, only a 1/4 mile to Lake Luzerne public beach. The Gazebo, gas grill, patio, dock, picnic table, hammock, outdoor fire pit and Adirondack chairs make it the perfect setting to kick back or to entertain.
And inside, (if you ever go in): The house is fully furnished, with a living room, bedroom, large full bathroom with washer and dryer, kitchen and dining room on the first floor. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, electric stove/oven, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. There is a large window in the kitchen with a beautiful view of the pond to inspire you while you cook. The large dining room table can seat up to 8 people. The other two bedrooms are on the second floor; both have windows overlooking the water. All bedrooms accommodate up to two people. Linens and garbage service are provided. Internet access included.

SARATOGA SPRINGS: About 20 minutes into the quaint town of Saratoga Springs, for shopping, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (many summertime concerts, orchestra, and ballet), Saratoga flat track, Saratoga Polo Club, Saratoga Harness Track, and the new Saratoga Gaming Casino. Close enough, yet far away from New Year's Eve celebrations.
LAKE LUZERNE: About 1/4 mile walk to Lake Luzerne and public beach. Free summer outdoor concerts in the pavilion overlooking Lake Luzerne. Up over the hill to Hadley/Luzerne public school with access to playground. Short walk to town of Lake Luzerne with public library, market, town basketball and tennis courts, UpRiver restaurant, and white water rafting excursion trips. 9 hole golf course - Bend of the River in Hadley (less than five miles away). Approximately three miles from Warren County snowmobile trails; less than 30 minutes from West mountain for skiing. Ice Skate right outside our door (when the pond ice allows), or on nearby Lake Luzerne.
LAKE GEORGE: Approximately 10 miles from our vacation rental! Lake George activities include Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park and Splash Water Kingdom, and indoor water park. Historic Fort William Henry and Lake George Battlefield Park, Prospect Mountain with the 100 mile view that overlooks Lake George. Lake George village boasts outlet shopping, Lake George Steamboat Cruises, nightclubs, arcades, restaurants, horseback riding, mini golf, and fireworks every Thursday night over the lake. Great place to stay for Lake George Winter Carnival and Lake George Forum events.

Such a beautiful property. This was our second time staying at this property. We love the area and the house is such a central location to Lake George and other areas. Our favorite thing about the home is the kayaks, I was up at 6 AM every day all by myself kayaking around the pond. We used the fire pit every day, just up the road there was someone selling firewood for 15 for a wheelbarrow full, it was enough to last us for four nights. Within walking distance of the home, there’s a beautiful park with some small waterfalls and two little one room with museums. There’s a mini golf and an ice cream stand also within minutes.

The property was peaceful to stay at. House was described as noted in the descriptions and pictures. Not as clean as we would have expected (but it is also an older home that could use painting and some touch ups). A musty smell as noted in one of the other reviews. It didn’t bother me but my elderly father has breathing problems and it did affect him. The location was perfect as it was close to the beach, market, Lake George and tubing adventures!!! We were asked to strip the beds and take out the garbage which was not in the description when I booked. It was fine as it only took a few minutes just not something I expected as I thought that was part of renting. Overall a good stay.
