About this house rental
Rustic Hideaway is away from the hustle of town, but yet close enough you can be in downtown Cortez in just a few minutes by car. Tammy (your host) is always available if something is not to your satisfaction. We strive to make our guests stay remarkable.
The Rustic Hideaway was designed to give you the modern old west feel. When I say modern I mean you get the old west/rustic decor with the luxury of free wifi, TV in each room with a Roku (Disney, Hulu, TV included, you can log into other apps such as Netflix, Vudu, etc. with your own account if you choose), DVD player, air conditioning, electric heat, and even a flushing toilet (we thought our guests would prefer this over the old west outhouse).
Have a party, reunion, or any other event? Rustic Hideaway is the perfect place for you. Located on 5 acres and away from the main road, you get the privacy and space you need for almost any event. The property also features a beautiful stream passing by with chairs to relax and enjoy.
There are two queen beds in the loft upstairs with a 1/2 bathroom. Just outside the sliding glass doors you can enjoy the beautiful view and sounds of the creek below from the covered balcony. Downstairs, you will find a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, vanity sink, and dressing area. From the master bedroom you can walk directly outside onto the lower back deck. A few steps away, relax beneath the large shade tree in the double swing, listening to the song birds and creek below. There is a full kitchen supplied with many of the amenities you will need, including a dishwasher, pots/pans, glasses, plates, etc. In the bathroom downstairs you will find a large stone walk-in shower accessible to all guests. The living area has a fold out couch, which makes into a queen bed. Enjoy the deck in front of the house, supplied with an outdoor table and chairs, while cooking dinner on the BBQ. Other amenities you will find include a washer/dryer and a baby Pack 'n Play.

This little place is super cute and SO easy to stay in. The light switches and drawers all included labels, so finding things was really simple. Lots of really cool pine countertops, tables and shelves (if you appreciate quality woodwork). The location was quiet and pastoral, but only a few miles from Cortez and its assortment of restaurants. If I ever head to Mesa Verde again - which I may - this will be my first choice.

Perfect for our needs. Home has everything you could need and was well stocked. Quiet location with a little elbow room yet still just a couple of minutes to restaurants in Cortez. House was clean and well organized. Host was easy to communicate with and only a text or phone call away. Would stay here again.

This property was outstanding! The management was so organized and thoughtful. As far as I’m concerned it exceeded my expectations. We had virtually no problems. A few highlights include: everything was labeled. There was a book with clear instructions for everything. There were extras, such as baggies in the drawers, plastic wrap, tinfoil, and many spices to choose from. I also personally loved the little magnified makeup mirror. The loft was spacious and plenty of room to move around and it had curtains to give privacy and a separating wall. There was a half bath upstairs and full bath with shower downstairs. There was also a plumbed sink over the dresser in the master suite. It was cozy and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and outdoor and indoor games. Also, there is a small shaded stream over the edge hill, where there were some chairs set up so you could sit and watch the river if you have time. We didn’t have time. This is really close to Mesa Verde, which was our destination and it worked out great for back and forth travel. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

This property offers a very quiet cozy farmlike feel. The property has a beautiful creek you can sit at as the deck gives you a wonderful quiet feel that you and your family can enjoy. It has a rustic feel inside as you can sit in the living room watching tv or play a game as you prepare dinner. Everything is labeled and any item that you may need is available. A lovely stay that my family will be looking to book again.
