About this villa rental
Welcome to this princely, private pool, Bali villa. Immediately upon entering this villa it is clear that this property's most distinguished feature is its truly unique setting which commands an absolutely stunning view of ,sculpted rice terraces and as far as the ocean looking across to the island of Nusa Penida. The house combines contemporary architecture with traditional Balinese design elements and offers complete comfort in a minimalist setting. As much of the living space as possible has been built to take in the views. The upper floor is 'open plan' and light and airy with a soaring wood roof and with hardwood timber flooring. The house has been tastefully furnished, with large teak sofas, 'lazy chairs' and low coffee tables which all add to the cosiness. Facing East, the sunrise seen from the comfort of your own bed is spectacular. Throughout the day the position of the sun dictates the ever changing scene. At night the villa takes on a completely different character with the subtle lighting creating a dreamlike quality.
Two air -conditioned bedrooms on the lower floor both with double beds while the upstairs area is 'open plan' with a hardwood floor and two very large four poster teak beds. There are three marble bathrooms,a bathtub,and a hot water showers . A fully equipped kitchen with granite surfaces and teak table top. An incredible 16m long infinity pool. Two gazebos for lazing in the shade by the pool.A lush tropical landscaped garden with many beautiful plants and flowers including bougainvillea and the sweet scented frangipani. This was a lovely stay. I'd recommend not the best place with kids as it is a bit dangerous in locations with the steps and pool. There was quite a bit of noise on the road and since it's open air it's something to consider since two of the beds are above the road. David and staff were excellent.

From the start out communication with the owner portrayed an element of peace and tranquility. He is so very accommodating and helpful. We were greeted at the airport by the driver and local guru who knows everything and everyone. At the villa was our hostess, chef, and chief housekeeper galore. Together with her and her staff to include the groundsman and helper, they were all FANTASTIC. The chef should have her own restaurant because she cooks like a 5 star chef. The villa was incredible and peaceful and with our driver we explored much of the island. We felt incredibly safe and secure and welcomed during our stay. We would highly recommend staying here with the team. And we will gladly do it again!

a great villa - great comms with both owner and villa manager - ketut is a real gem...
however - a few remarks - for a villa this size (and its huge!) you really do need full time dedicated staff.
its located in a small village which is great - however fairly lively traffic on the raod below is noticable. people in the village burn their waste (as everywhere in Bali) but the smell is pretty strong when they do.
also you need to be fit in order to enter the villa safely as you have to go round the pools edge before you reach a steep set of stairs to the front door...
Wifi is per mobile mifi device - which works well - but you need to be near it for it to work.
its 15km to ubud central - which can take an hour or more.. its that busy in the reaod in ubud.
in all we had a great time.

We had a wonderful time at this villa, it is spacious, with great views and privacy. The staff were absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.
