About this apartment rental
Property located on a unique mixed sand beach of black volcanic sand and white broken shells with tiny quartz crystal which twinkle in the sunlight. Calm and clear bay within a larger bay with rock tide pools, where baby fish are protected by rock formations jutting into the ocean, a wonderful site for snorkeling and scuba diving. The Studio windows and doors all face the beach which open out onto a patio with an outdoor Jacuzzi/dipping pooland barbecue. A garden path leads to the beach about 10 meters away. A dive shop is just around the corner in Playa del Coco and a restaurant just down the beach.
The Studio apartment on the lower floor of house #5 of Los Almendros de Ocotal consists of 2 rooms with ceiling fans and an A/C unit; bedroom for a couple with a flat screen T.V., a security box, sheets and towels for 2 people, a private bathroom with hot running water, and a kitchenette, which has a 4 burner electric stove with oven, refrigerator, blender, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, kitchen sink, table settings for 2 and pots, pans and utensils. WiFi included.

We just returned from an amazing two week stay at this studio apartment! The studio was very clean and comfortable but the real beauty of this space is the private patio and dipping pool with direct ocean access and views. The owners, Denese and Hernan, have done an excellent job with the landscaping. It feels like a tropical paradise. I never got tired of looking over the dipping pool and threw the plants to the ocean view. Both sides of the property are fully landscaped so it feels very private from the properties on both sides. As another reviewer noted, the owners live in the unit above the studio with windows looking down but I never felt like they were intruding on the studios space. Ocotal Beach is just outside the properties gate. It’s great for swimming or just floating and has excellent snorkeling when the conditions are right. When the tide is out, there is a natural pool in the rocks that makes it very safe and fun for little ones and people who aren’t comfortable in the open ocean. Locals and vacationers both visit this beach and it has a laid back atmosphere. Thank you Denese and Hernan for creating this beautiful space!

We loved our stay at Ocotol with Denese. The suite was very nice and clean and well equipped. We felt very safe in the gated community. Owners were friendly and helpful. Walking right out to incredible snorkeling was the best part of our trip. It’s important to know that it isn’t totally private. The owners live above be and have windows that looked right down on the pool and outdoor area when you’re outside. It wasn’t a problem, but something to be aware of.

We had a fantastic stay at Denese and Hernan's beautiful hideaway in Playa Ocotal. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and at home. The property is gorgeous - peaceful, clean, and just steps away from the ocean. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty! Even though our trip was short, it was everything we needed and more. Thank you, Denese and Hernan, for being such kind and thoughtful hosts!
