Saddle Ridge H2 also known as the Bear's Lair Chalet sits on the slope with true ski-in/ski-out access and unbeatable Lone Peak Views!! This luxury slopeside Saddle Ridge has rustic hardwood floors granite counters and stainless steel appliances plenty of seating in the living room along with outdoor seating and a gas grill on the deck. With TV's in every room a king bed in the master suite and a private outdoor hot tub with some of the best views in all of Big Sky the Bear's Lair Chalet is the place to be for your home away from home.
Jump on the slopes on a Powder Day from this mid-mountain location and beat everyone that is boarding a lift from the base areas. More fresh powder for you!! AND you can easily ski back to your door for lunch or a quick cup of hot chocolate. Enjoy an afternoon or evening soak in the slope side hot tub as you enjoy a beverage of your choice and just relax with friends or family.
This 3 bedroom unit has a master suite on the top level with king bed TV and private bath. There is also a twin sleeping loft in the master bedroom perfect for a child that wants to be near mom and dad or for an additional twin bed for those that need an extra bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are both located on the lower level with a full bath on the hallway. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and TV and walks out to the 6 person private outdoor hot tub and breathtaking views. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and a twin bed as well as a TV and spectacular mountain views.
The laundry room with full size washer/dryer is located 1/2 flight of stairs down from Bedroom 2 and 3. We provide all laundry detergent and fabric softener.
There is parking for 2 cars directly in front of the front door along with private ski racks on the front porch. It is so easy to unload bags and groceries or hop in the car for a quick outing or delicious dinner.
* Big Sky Resort officially opens for ski season the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day. This property is ski-in/ski-out via the Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts. Early and late season ski access is condition dependent and may vary. All lift operations are completely at Big Sky Resort's discretion.

The property was in perfect condition and surprisingly matched exactly what was described and shown on the site. The management company was a pleasure to work with and followed with all requests that we had. Our time in Big Sky and in this property was magical!

This condo was excellent and well stocked. All the beds were super comfortable and we slept so well! The views from the patio were beautiful. A couple things- this wasn’t a true ski in/out, as in you literally ski to the door and from the door. To ski out you have to walk to the end of the condo units to a hill (literally a 1 min walk- not bad at all). If you have kids and they are new to skiing, the ski out hill is small, but looks steep and could be scary. To ski in, you have to take a blue down, so again, if you have new skiers, it wouldn’t be the best for them. To get back, you ski down to the Moonlight lodge and then have to walk about 2 min to the condo. If there was enough snow, you could ski in the parking lot back to the condo. You can also pop your skis off at Iron Horse lift and walk in the hill and then down to your condo. All this really didn’t affect us, but wanted to share in case someone needs a true ski in/out. Overall, the hosts were so sweet to leave a small welcoming basket and detailed instructions. We would stay here again!

We had a great trip. Rental was as described and and the hosts were very accommodating. We skied in and out from the back patio—in required skiing over a narrow flat path. We enjoyed the house and the hot tub very much. Our third trip to Big Sky and our favorite location so far.

Saddle Ridge is a great location! The ski in ski out is a huge plus. The H2 unit is lovely, well stocked, and has a great view. If I come back to Big Sky, I’d absolutely stay here again!
