The building of this hotel is a little bit quirky. The front desk is located in the basement, next to the scooter parking. The facilities are basic but you have pretty much everything you need for a great and comfortable stay. The showers have plenty of water pressure and get adequately hot and the rooms are for the most part very clean. You'll find a hair here and there but that's mostly due to housekeeping not having vacuum cleaners. It's common to use feather dusters and mops in this part of the world and you can never guarantee a spotless clean like that. I've found leftover shower gel from the previous guest twice but I'm not too concerned about that. Housekeeping and front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Do note that this is not a "true" 24/7 hotel as the night receptionist will close the electric gate at around 1:30 am and it's up to you to see if you can draw his attention to get him to open the gate. Wifi speeds are more than decent at 440 mbit down / 420 mbit up and pinging at 5 ms. The only "real" letdown is that due to the floor plan of this quirky building, some more expensive rooms will actually be smaller than the cheap ones, which makes no sense to me. It seems that the pricing is based on the amount of windows you have in your room. The rooms are not sound insulated so you can definitely hear the water running in other rooms and overhear conversations in the hallway. Also another negative, which is a very Vietnamese thing, is that people in the neighborhood will burn their trash (including plastics) at the end of the night, causing the hallways and room to smell like a mix of campfire and plastic. There's no solution for this, unfortunately and I wish the Vietnamese people would stop doing this since there's daily garbage collection and recycling in this country.
