For lovers of relaxation and the sea, Eastern Sicily and the area surrounding Syracuse offer everything you could wish for. Starting from the ancient Greek city and heading south, the best equipped and most beautiful beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name derives from natural sources of fresh water and the particular white colour of the sand. Within the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped solarium (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a small free beach called Cala Rossa. Going further south, approximately 30 km away, we find some beautiful unspoilt and inaccessible beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Faunal Oasis and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, you must see the Greek Theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and also the Latomies of the Capuchins, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical and cultural beauties as well as scenic ones. Not to be overlooked are Noto, the seafront with the Avola tuna fishery and finally the fishing village of Marzamemi. In short, Sicily is a land to be explored entirely and its natural and cultural beauties are treasures with which to fill your gaze.
The villa is located in the new part of the city, in the Pizzuta district, a stone's throw from the north exit for the Catania motorway, in a residential area of villas only. Catania Fontanarossa airport is 58 km away, Comiso Pio La Torre airport is 108 km away.
