We stayed at Alder House for the Gros Morne Hiking Festival and although the Festival didn’t recommend this area, we found it perfect. It was a 30 minute drive to to the Water’s Edge, Festival Headquarters in Woody Point which was no hardship because it was stunning! We were awestruck just driving in to the Festival. ( plus being close to the Jackladder for a turkey mess and a Day Boil was the bomb). Alder House is absolutely perfect for 3 couples with 3 bedrooms, all queen size beds. It has a fully functional kitchen and the living room was a comfy spot for talking about our adventures. Really nice spot. Thanks Neil.

Helpful check in guide provided, easy to use and well laid out kitchen. Lovely spot. Downstairs shower has an elevated showerhead, which was very appreciated by the tall members of our group!Lots of warblers in the forest around the home, if you’re a birder - even a couple of rare ones during the breeding season! Very lucky

A great clean home in a lovely country setting. It was not a long drive to the attractions in the area. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Beautiful home! Comfortable beds. Air conditioning a huge bonus. Definitely will recommend staying here to friends and family.
