The first floor bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle with complimentary toiletries provided. The large open plan living space, with its vaulted ceiling and two sets of bi-folding doors, has been designed as the sociable hub of the home and will delight all visitors. The modern kitchen has everything you would expect of a luxury property. Outside there is a small enclosed patio with garden furniture. Parking is at the front of the property with space for one car, and there is additional on road parking available.
Situated in Upper Poppleton, which is one of York’s most sought after neighbourhoods, visitors can expect a peaceful holiday. Both Upper and Nether Poppleton have a number of pubs, shops, butchers, cafés, hairdressers, a tennis court and community centre. The Carriage House is ideally located to explore York and its historic city walls. Travel into the city could not be easier with the railway station next door, the Park and Ride only a 2-minute drive away and a local bus stop just down the road. Just a 5-minute train journey away, the medieval winding streets play host to cafés, bars and restaurants, and the shopping is some of the best in the country. The country houses of Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, Beningbrough Hall and Ripley Castle are only a short drive away, as is Harrogate and Yorkshire’s ‘Food Capital’, Malton. The coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby are also accessible. A fishing lake and golf can also be found nearby. Shop and pub 300 yards, restaurant ½ mile.
