UNIT NAME: HARBOR
This beautiful private waterfront vacation home is located on the 165+ft of picturesque shorefront in Gills Rock, Wisconsin. The floor to ceiling windows offer a panoramic water view to Hedgehog Harbor from kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom loft. The magnificent sunsets overlooking Door Bluff can be enjoyed either from inside the house or from the large flagstone private outside patio in the back yard. The patio is great for entertaining with an area for grilling (charcoal grill available; charcoal not provided) and a fire pit (firewood not provided).
The lakefront beach offers great swimming) and water fun opportunities for water lovers (rocky bottom). The property is located only two minutes walking distance from a marina. The house has an attached roomy three car garage used as a game room on the main floor (shared with another unit) with an easy access to the unit. The open floor concept allows great flow between the living room, dining room and the kitchen with beautiful tile and wood flooring and Scandinavian imported wood wall paneling. The kitchen has gorgeous granite counter tops and rich cherry colored cabinetry. All basic kitchen appliances (gas stove with oven, microwave, toaster, regular coffee maker) and dishes are available. The newly remodeled modern looking spacious easy access tiled bathroom on the main floor also includes a specious brand new electric sauna.
The old beams off bedroom located in the open loft offer the area a lot of charm in addition to additional beautiful views of the lake.
There is a queen and twin bed in the loft, a pullout couch in the dining room and a pullout couch in the living room.

What a special location Dan and Gretel, the generous hosts have shared with travelers to the gorgeous Gills Rock area. We loved the sunsets every night, chilling in the hammock, reading books, drinking coffee and taking breaks to simply enjoy the view. Dan and Gretel were welcoming and very available if we had questions. We didn’t have many because they made everything super user-friendly (and because we have been coming to Door County in the summertime for more than 50 years!) We loved the proximity to the county park for memorable hiking and views, walking to the marina, shopping at the cutest Scandinavian shop (we had a very pleased Swede with us), dining at The Shoreline and Della Porta, grilling fresh whitefish from Charlie’s Smokehouse, hot tubbing and seeing Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury reflected on Green Bay’s still waters, taking an awesome and musical sunset cruise thanks to Death’s Door Boat Tours (well worth every dollar) and celebrating an 85th birthday! We had a fantastic time golfing, biking, and eating the best ice cream ever (Door County Ice Cream Factory and Sandwich Shoppe in Sister Bay), but the best thing of all was enjoying time together at such a lovely location. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity, Gretel and Dan.

Views and quiet and calm are indescribable. We had an amazing time, no issues. The "game room" really is just a pool table and a air hockey table, we never used. Location is right near the ferry to Washington Island, Charlies Smoke House, just a quick drive to sister bay, but we loved how peaceful and away from everyone it was. Stars were amazing ,sun sets incredible, Pelicans are cool to see as well.
