Enjoy one of the most beautiful views in all of Door County from The Chalet, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath pet friendly vacation home on Garrett Bay. The home has a large waterfront deck, private dock during the summer season, and a beach fire pit. There is a 10 person hot tub for warming up after your swim. Inside enjoy a large stone fire place, well-equipped kitchen with water views and three comfortable bedrooms. The Chalet is a perfect retreat with privacy. If you like to swim, kayak (two kayaks available), fish, boat, or just sit and enjoy nature this is the house for you. It is convenient to Ellison Bay and Gills Rock for restaurants, coffee, drinks, groceries, boat docks and much more. There is lots of green space between your home and the other home on the property (the fleetwing). There is one shared deck between both houses but each house has its own outdoor waterfront area and dock. It is Kid friendly, pet friendly, outdoor enthusiast friendly and the perfect quiet escape. It also offers superfast internet if you need to work during your stay.

This chalet was the perfect base for our Door County weekend. It’s beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning views over the lake. We loved starting our mornings with coffee by the fire as the sun came up, and ending the day with a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The location was ideal—close enough to explore the peninsula, yet perfectly peaceful for an up-north retreat. Highly recommend—10/10!

Weather did not cooperate, very windy and cold the 1st couple of days of our trip but the hot tub and the fireplace helped make it so much more comfy. Would certainly love to go back.

This property was far more than just a rental home. This was a truly once-in-a-lifetime family reunion. My five brothers and I traveled from all corners of the world, and this was the first time the six of us had been together in over 30 years. We were seeking a place that could handle our large group and provide a serene backdrop for such a significant event, and this home delivered beautifully.From the start, the management was exceptional. The manager was consistently responsive and this excellent communication made planning a massive global reunion feel simple and stress-free.The location itself, in the beautiful Door County area, is simply unparalleled. It provided a sense of peace and serenity that allowed us all to truly relax and reconnect.To us, this timing felt like a gift. As our parents face illness, the opportunity to gather the six brothers and share this precious time together was invaluable and deeply moving. We truly feel God guided us to this specific place to reunite our family and bring us closer.We highly recommend this beautiful home for any family or group looking to create lasting memories. Thank you to the owners and manager for sharing this special home with us.

The property is located right on Lake/Bay. It is a beautiful location. The property is tired. The beds were really great for sleeping. The views from inside the house on the lake side were wonderful. It was a dreary time that we were there but it allowed us time to explore the parks and Washington Island. Wickman House was exceptional!
