Welcome to The Bear Lair! This NEWLY RENOVATED cabin in Black Bear Resort sleeps 6 and features a full kitchen, fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a deck overlooking Canaan Wildlife Refuge. Close to Davis, Timberline, and Dolly Sods—relax and make memories!

We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return.

We came to Canaan to take senior pictures. This was a great location and very comfortable for my wife, son, and his fiancé. We had a very good time at the cabin.

Wonderfully updated property. Very relaxing location is perfect and feels very private, despite having nearby cabins. The extra touches with better quality pots, pans, and knives, really added to our stay. Definitely will visit again.
