About this cottage rental
An outdoor recreational retreat perfect for the family. This cottage is within walking distance of a private boat landing and dock (includes a canoe with paddles) on Chute Pond Lake. There are hiking trails, snowmobile & 4-wheeler trails accessible from the drive way, and the local bar/grill is only 5 min (walking distance) away. Outside you can enjoy the fireplace with the picnic table and 2 benches or inside you can cozy up to a warm fireplace in the livingroom. Wood is provided for fires. Pet friendly and handicap accessible, its roomy enough for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Ryan and Heidi are the Best. We had some minor issues and they came a took care of them that same day. I have read some reviews where they talked about the water but if you ever lived in the country you know there can an odor . We used the water for everything. My siblings and I have my been doing yearly get aways for about 30 years and this was one of the better places we have stayed Again thank you Ryan and Heidi.

We enjoyed our time at Ryan and Heidi’s cottage. Heidi was very detailed in her communication prior to check-in. Our favorite part was the fire pit and large yard. Though the cottage needs a few minor updates (which I communicated to Heidi), it is a nice place to stay.

This cottage was everything we expected it to be. Very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. The living area is spacious and the open floor plan makes it especially nice. The master bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. The second bedroom was also very nice. We did not use the bunkhouse.The outside features are incredible. A lovely deck and porch, a fire pit, picnic table. We would have spent out entire time enjoying them except - unfortunately for us - we experienced rain and severe thunderstorms for most of the duration of our stay!! But - thanks to the well-equipped and comfortable cottage - we still enjoyed a very nice "sisters" trip. We were able to find quiet time at the cemetery where many of our ancestors are buried, appreciated the beautiful northwoods, reminisced about living in Mountain when it still had a General Store (I lived upstairs over the store). I would highly recommend this cottage to any individuals or families who would like a home like place with lots of room to spread out - inside or outside

The outside of the building, the covered deck and nice size lot worked perfect for us. Plenty of room to park all our vehicles. Conveniently located by a boat launch and dock. Minor maintenance on the doors would help. The ‘bunkhouse’ could also use a little TLC. The few flaws weren’t a big deal for us. Back bedroom bed is very hard as well as the couch and loveseat in the living room. Kitchen was great. Plenty of space for all our food and prep. The water does have a strong sulfur odor but we had all our own drinking water and a large thermos of water to use for brushing our teeth in the bathroom. It was hot for our stay so the water issue for a shower didn’t bother us. The air conditioner worked great and was a welcome relief for the little time we were actually inside. Because the ’bunkhouse’ is an add on to the house trailer and is not included with that central air, a separate window air unit and fan helped to cool that room after a while. All in all, this property worked well for our family. There were 9 of us. Originally, there were supposed to be 11 but two people were unable to stay. If they would have stayed, we would have needed to set up 2 cots in the living room as the couch was not comfortable for sleeping but with 9 of us, it worked out. The host had great communication and check in was super easy.
