The location of Silver Bear 18 can not be beat! You can walk directly to Canyon Lodge and the gondola that goes to The Village! Relax after a long day on the mountain in this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cozy unit. Cook meals with friends and family in the large kitchen that features vintage appliances. The living room offers a flat screen smart TV and a sectional sofa. PLEASE NOTE: this living room does not have an operating fireplace. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a flat screen TV. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. The Silver Bear common area has an recreation room to enjoy with a lounge with a Foosball table, fireplace and reading area, as well as showers. There is a year round sauna, covered Jacuzzi, outdoor Jacuzzi, communal gas BBQ grill area and in Summer a small plunge pool and fire pit. Enjoy a heated underground parking garage for 1 car (garage clearance is 7' 2") with interior hallways and accessible elevator access to your unit on the 2nd floor. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. This unit is pet friendly and can accommodate 1 pet. Guests will be provided two parking passes. We have used Mammoth Reservations a number of times and Silver Bear #18 is the best one we’ve stayed in so far. The unit is well-appointed, spacious and offers plenty of room for up to 6 people (we had 4). We could not have asked for a better location which is just a short walk to Canyon Lodge. It is on the route of the Blue Line to the Village which made it very convenient when we did not want to drive. The only thing that we had an issue during our stay was the WiFi was not working, but a call to Mammoth Reservations provided a quick resolution when they sent a technician to help fix it. MR also gave us a brand new coffee maker because the one in the unit was broken. Kudos to Mammoth Reservations and their staff! Overall, a great place to stay in Mammoth. We’ll be renting it again next time we are up.

My overall experience was good. But this condo needs serious upgrades. The water temperature is not controllable and it gets so hot it is dangerous. If more than one person is using water, it goes from burning to freezing.
