5-bedroom pool home with spa and Mario game room at Solterra Resort, near Disney

Oasis at Solterra is a single-level pool home at gated Solterra Resort in Davenport, about 12 miles from Disney's Animal Kingdom. It has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, sleeps 10, and gives your family 2,109 square feet of space, all on one floor.

THE HOME
Your own screened pool and bubbling spa sit on a south-facing deck, with sun loungers, an egg chair for two and an outdoor dining table. The spa is a raised part of the pool, not a separate hot tub. A safety fence separates the house from the pool, which helps if you have little ones. Pool and spa heating is optional, at $35 a night with a 4-night minimum; message us before you arrive if you would like it.

GAME ROOM
The air-conditioned, Mario-themed game room has a 7-foot pool table, air hockey and foosball. A ceiling-mounted 4K projector and a 120-inch screen turn it into a movie room, and a retro gaming system comes loaded with classic games. Giant Connect 4 and oversized Yahtzee can go out to the pool deck.

BEDROOMS
All five bedrooms are on the ground floor, and each has a smart TV.
- Bedroom 1: king bed, its own private bathroom, a 55-inch TV and its own door to the pool deck
- Bedroom 2: king bed beneath a light-up castle headboard
- Bedroom 3: queen bed, Moana theme, with its own private bathroom
- Bedroom 4: princess-themed bunk bed with full-size mattresses and a slide
- Bedroom 5: two twin beds, Minions theme
With five full bathrooms, nobody waits long for a shower.

KITCHEN AND LIVING
The kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, an island and a coffee nook, and the dining table is right beside it. The family room has a 70-inch smart TV and sliding doors to the pool. There is a full-size washer and dryer, and the Wi-Fi is free.

GETTING IN
You let yourselves in with a private door code, which we send you before you arrive. Park on your own driveway: Solterra issues 5 parking passes per home and does not allow parking on the street.

SOLTERRA RESORT
Solterra is a gated resort community just southwest of Orlando. At the clubhouse you will find a resort pool with a waterslide and waterfall, a lazy river, a hot tub, a covered pool patio, poolside cabanas to rent and a cafe. There is also a fitness center, tennis courts, a sports field, walking trails and a children's playground. Solterra Resort charges $35 per family for each stay for the card that opens the clubhouse facilities; you pay it at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is run by the resort, and its opening hours can change.

By car, Disney's Animal Kingdom is about 20 minutes, Magic Kingdom about 20 minutes and Universal Orlando about 30 minutes. The nearest supermarket, Publix at Ovation, is about 3 miles away, and Orlando International Airport about 27 miles. Drive times are without heavy traffic.

- You arrive to a starter supply of coffee, soap, shampoo and conditioner, dishwasher tabs, laundry pods, trash bags and bathroom tissue. For a longer stay, plan to top these up.
