Guests who are looking for that little cabin in the hill country will appreciate this charming log cabin. Located only minutes from Wimberley’s adorable town square this relaxing cabin offers the perfect location to visit all the hill country favorites. Fox Run Ridge will accommodate up to 6 guests and offers comfort, relaxation, and a fun space for the kids to enjoy!
With the comforts of home, Fox Run Ridge offers a modern cozy getaway that greets guests with fun pops of color, cowhide, and rich leather. Upon entering, enjoy the knotty pine ceiling, limestone rock fireplace, terra cotta tile, wood flooring and a fully stocked kitchen to prepare favorite meals. Cozy up on the leather sofa and watch your favorite sports team on the flat screen television or enjoy a romantic evening by the wood burning fireplace. The front entry room offers a large dining table with seating for six, great for family meals. At the opposite end find a special treat for the kids, their own space to lounge, play games, YouTube TV, or favorite movie! With three bedrooms there is plenty of room for everyone to sleep soundly. Masterfully decorated, each bedroom offers a warm and inviting retreat that guests are sure to sleep soundly. Decorated with a wonderful mix of old and new pieces, the master bedroom hosts a king bed with lovely linens and fun accent pieces. Guests will find themselves with plenty of room to tidy up with a shower/tub combo The second bedroom offers a queen size bed, accents of wrought iron, and charming linens. Guests will fall asleep dreaming of wide open spaces. The third bedroom, perfect for kids, offers two twin beds with cozy linens and pops of color. Tidy up for a night on the town in the second bathroom that offers a jack & jill set up with a shower /tub combo.
Relax and unwind on the outdoor deck overlooking the gorgeous wooded surroundings. With a welcoming back deck area, guests can enjoy the sounds of nature and hike just out the back gate to the dry creek bed. Enjoy a cool beverage and grill favorites on the propane grill. With a fenced in yard the kids will stay safe, and can enjoy outdoor games of cornhole, tag, or an evening gathered around the fire pit roasting s’mores with family and friends. In addition, the outdoor space offers a dining area to enjoy meals a la carte.

The house was nice overall - private, quiet, and about 5 minutes from the square in Wimberley. Unfortunately, the internet is weak and extremely unreliable. Not that big a deal, except that the TV is totally streaming so we had no TV for most of the weekend. I emailed to ask the property management for help and got no response. There are three TVs but you can't really watch anything. We were gone for most of the day but it was disappointing to not be able to watch TV in the evening. Also, we made a fire in the fireplace as it was an extremely cold weekend. We used wood from around the property as there was none stacked. If you want to do that, make sure you bring something to start the fire with. Recommend a fire starter of some kind and some wood.

Walking into the house, everything was clean and the beds turned out to be comfortable. The neighborhood is perfect for walking and we even saw a couple of deer!Our concerns were the kitchen isn't really stocked with a lot. One hot pad, a pot, a pan or two. Would love to have enough coffee mugs for everyone, so its good we brought our own. The wifi is an absolute joke. Dont expect it to work well at all! We couldn't get through a whole movie without the stupid buffering. A 2 hr movie turned into 3 with the amount of resetting and waiting.The property is clean, comfortable and the host was quick to respond. For a Girl's Trip for 4, we wanted movies, wine and relaxation. We got the wine in Wimberlyand the relaxing was great. Just wished for a better movie night experience.

We loved our stay at Fox Ridge. Location was superb, close to town and other activities, spotted lots of deer which is always a plus. Felt secluded without being fully off the map. Bedrooms were great, beds and sheets were comfy (which is hit or miss with many places). A Bathrooms were clean minus shower curtain needed to be changed, we found one extra and changed the primary bath one- primary shower head also needs to be changed. Kitchen could have an extra frying pan or two, we brought our own one based off previous review. WiFi was spotty, but that is the Hill Country and we made do. Management company was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here- Very spacious and would stay here again!

The cabin was beautiful, secluded but close to everything. We saw a family of deer in the front yard and a coyote off the back deck. The cabin was quiet, clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff was very responsive & helpful to my messages.We visited in January so the wood burning fireplace is a nice touch, but be forewarned, you’ll need to bring your own wood and lighter.The only reason the cabin gets 3 stars instead of 5 is the WiFi. The other reviews mention it and they’re not wrong. It’s terrible. Again, we visited in January, so we were hoping to curl up by the fire and watch a movie at night and that simply didn’t happen. We couldn’t get 15 mins into anything without the app shutting down completely. The WiFi situation just made the TVs (and our phones) worthless.If you’re visiting in the Spring or fall and plan on being outdoors most of the time, this is the place for you.
