Peaceful Apartment near The Capitol

Location: Central to where we needed to go. Coffee, fast food, and restaurants are nearby. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Apt: The place itself was easy to get to, clean, had mostly everything we needed (bathroom products are kinda old). One of the bedroom's mattress firm remote controller didn't work so we couldn't adjust the headrest. The upstairs neighbors are loud - you can hear them running and walking throughout the apt. Unsure if they had shoes on (sounded like it) or if it was a combo with the building being old so the floor boards creaked extra loud. We were out most of the day so didn't bother us too much, Just beware of footsteps early in the AM and sometimes around bedtime. The host did block off stairs to the second floor with a table and mirror at the entrance (very creative) - just something to note.Host: Communicated well for check in but when we asked for a late check out (later flight), he didn't respond even though he said to check back. We didn't need to contact him during our stay.Overall, place served its purpose for why we rented it. Would come back.

Such a nice, convenient place to stay. My friends and I were able to ride scooters into town everyday so it’s in a good location. I highly recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper though since the people upstairs are quite loud and you can hear everything they do.

Great location, easy to uber to all the sights the Capitol has to offer. Some walkable restaurants nearby.

Location was very convenient; however, we would not stay there again. The people living above us were extremely noisy until 11pm - midnight every night and then were back up and at it by 5:30-6am the next morning. We killed numerous ants and spiders during our stay there. There was no hand towel in the master bath and one of the faucets was not working properly, it was more of a spray nozzle than a faucet. When we went to use the dishwasher it had standing water in it with several floating ants. We had packed a cooler and brought along burgers to grill the night we arrived. The amenities stated there was a BBQ grill; however, when we arrived we were unable to locate a grill anywhere. When reaching out to the host regarding this we never got a reply back. We enjoyed our time in DC but the accommodations were a little disappointing.
