Wooded and hilly, these landscapes offer an extremely varied range of outdoor activities for the whole family.
Village renowned for hiking, Saint-Léonard-des-Bois is nestled between two hills which bear the name of "haut fourché" and "mont Narbonne" (respectively 203 and 217 meters above sea level) True natural belvederes, these hills offer splendid panoramic views of the Sarthe river. Banks of the Sarthe river which you can enjoy from the islet of Saint Léo in complete tranquility with private access to its banks.
The Alpes Mancelles will also seduce you with their other charming villages which have preserved their history and heritage: character villages of Fresnay-sur-Sarthe "Small City of Character", Saint-Céneri-le-Gerei "One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France ”and Bourg-le-Roi fortified village. A few kilometers from Saint-Léonard-des-Bois, you will discover the highest point of the Great West "the Mont des Avaloirs" (417m) between Saint-Pierre-des-Nids and Pré-en-Pail.
