Cozy setting, with knotty-pine walls and ceilings and country cabin decor provides a mountain-lake atmosphere.
On the main level is a combination living room, kitchen, dining area with a large sliding-glass door leading to the deck with a grill and an outdoor dining area. The living room has a vaulted ceiling. The Master bedroom is on the main level with an adjoining bathroom.
The ground level living area provides an additional bedroom, bathroom and a multi-purpose room.
In addition, you can walk out to the lower deck and enjoy the patio with a small fire-pit for toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Or, just enjoy the warmth of a cozy fire while gazing at the mountain views!

Overall a great experience with the host. They provided all the details and instructions on how to detour and get to the property since the Road 321 was still out. Location is very close to Watauga Lake and you pass a spot to put in a boat on your way to the rental. The cabin was very clean overall. The rental sits on a hillside and you get a nice view of the mountain. There is not a view of the lake but it’s very close. The bed on the main floor was soft. Kitchen is well equipped. Dishwasher is older and very loud. Appreciated the cable and the WiFi. Stay was very quiet and peaceful.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Majestic Peak cabin. It was clean and secluded. We weren't far from any nature walks or trails. We will definitely be coming back!

This cabin was very picturesque. The views were absolutely spectacular waking up first thing in the morning to see the sun rise over the mountains was really beautiful. The sunsets were also spectacular.
We particularly enjoyed walks to the lake, although I needed more specifics from the host to figure out how to get to the lake access point. We enjoyed skipping stones and the peacefulness of the lake.
We were a little disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi while we were there, but the movie collection was quite expensive and in the four days we vacation my 17-year-old watched every single movie. The library provided was so extensive that everyone in the family managed to find something to read at some point and the weather was so wonderful. We just sat on the deck and read books. We enjoyed using the fire pit and the kitchen was extremely well equipped meeting all of our cooking needs, We did not go out to eat. Our host was gracious about compensating us for the lack of Wi-Fi. We were also very glad to be able to enjoy this particular spot with our family Dog.
