About this house rental
What do you want on a beach vacation? This house has it all! Ocean views, direct beach access (2 beach accesses across the street), fenced yard, private pool, tiki bar, crow's nest, sun decks and screened porch, hammock, game room, 2 full sized refrigerators, pet friendly, corn hole, and so much more, all within walking distance of the Kill Devil Grill, Red Drum Taphouse, and Tortugas! Pirates Hideout has never been rented and always has been a second home, be one of the first to stay in a beautiful, custom home.
On the ground level is the garage with full sized fridge and corn hole, enclosed private pool area with plenty of seating (in the sun or shade!), tiki bar, and fenced in yard with swing and enclosed outside shower, fish cleaning table, etc. Inside the home, you will find the game room with 2 futons in the living room area, a multi-cade game, a full hall bath with stall shower, and a king bedroom.
Up the stairs on the mid level, you will find the great room featuring beautiful hardwood floors, and open living room, dining room and kitchen. To the south of the kitchen is a half bath, and an elegant king en suite with a double vanity, garden tub and stall shower. There is a pantry off the kitchen, so you won't have to use the counter space for food storage! The laundry is also off the kitchen for your convenience. There is a screened front porch off the kitchen, featuring those great ocean views, and this opens to a huge front deck. You can take all your meals al fresco on the front porch, where there are plenty of seating options and the gas grill. The deck has stairs up to the crow's nest!
Continuing up to the third floor, you will find a hall full bath with tub/shower combo and double sinks, plus a queen bedroom with desk on the ocean side, and a "kid room" with a double bed that has a wet bar in the closet. There is also another Queen bedroom on this level.
Once you have seen this home and experienced all it has to offer, you will be looking forward to your return visit!

Host (Liv) was easily accessible and kept us in the know for trash pickup days, pool cleaning, etc. The pool was a little small, but perfect for our needs with younger grandkids and a perfect pet-friendly home with a large fenced grassy area. Great location and an easy walk to the beach.A few things that the owners need to know…• house cleaning services were not good, kitchen trash cans were nasty, carpets and rugs were not vacuumed and especially in the common areas… middle floor and downstairs. Also, wood and tile floors were not mopped and the windows, sliders and storm doors were filthy!Outside there are many rusty nails, screws that need to be removed so that people don’t get hurt. The outside needs a good scrubbing…house, decks, patio areas. Nails, screws and debris build up along the edges and corners.The deck umbrella is very rusted and some arms broken…ended up in the pool and luckily not in the road (no one was hurt). Needs to be replaced.

We enjoyed the house. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean, and the air conditioner worked great. Kitchen was ok. A few minor things needed fixing. The "screened in porch" is very small, maybe can fit 2 chairs, and looked dirty. Decent access to beach, a short walk across street and down a bit. Only "ocean view" is from a very small crows nest area on top of the house. Wood porch is nice space, could use more to provide shade from sun. Pool area nice, pool small but adequate for just sitting to cool off. Home had alot of beach gear to use like chairs and boogie boards, with a decent cart to haul stuff. Nice size back yard if you bring a dog.

This was the perfect beach house for my family. The location is just right with 2 public beach accesses within a short walk. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that we needed for an amazing week at the beach! The pool was perfect for fun with the family. It was also very clean. I highly recommend a stay at this house. You won’t be disappointed!

A Pirates Hideout was perfect. It was in great condition and very clean. It had everything a family would need. We had a 2 year old and one year old with us, the house was equipped with anything you would need for babies!We also had our two doodles. The backyard was perfect for them! The pool was such a bonus for all of us. The house was one block from the beach which is great when you have little ones! We had the best vacation! Beautiful home!!!!
