We were an extended family group of 3 adults and 2 children (11-15 yrs) and this was our first trip to the Moselle. We visited during August 2023 and chose this property for its location as one of the adults did not drive and wanted independent access to the local town/surrounding area. The property was spotlessly clean, efficient check in/out procedure and the owner responsive to queries/feedback whilst we were staying in property. The property is basic, some of the furnishings/equipment was dated (but it all worked perfectly well) and is effectively a cosy two story wooden cabin! But the property was perfect for our one week stay in the summer. Whilst the owner does flag this in the listing the steps to the property are uneven so I would not recommend this property to families with babies/toddlers or adults with access requirements. But for fit and healthy school age children and adults it's fine. There appeared to be sime external lights but this could be something to ask about before booking if you are staying at times when daylight hours become shorter. (But as we were high summer did not affect us). The shower is basic so whilst we had plenty of hot water and pressure this would be one room in the property that would make the biggest difference to upgrade. A microwave would also be really nice too. But otherwise it's a lovely spot with beautiful views and the owner was so very responsive and polite. Thank you.
