The building is a little dated now, could do with some maintenance, the front deck will soon need replacing. Internally it provides everything needed if a little cramped, but perfectly useable. The kitchen is well equipped with many pots and pans, possibly too much. Mattresses are basic but fine, the bedding provided was very good. Great to have Internet provision, mobile phone coverage is also excellent. Check in and comms were easy and excellent..

This small holiday park is delightful with the A frame chalets dotted around the grounds. The grounds are kept well and the sea views make it even more special. It’s a great location for families as it has a swimming pool and various sporting activities around the site. The clubhouse is kept well and they sometimes arrange events for families to attend. Reception were always very friendly and helpful too. Chalet 68 had excellent accommodation for my needs, with all the mod cons, and made my stay very comfortable. The chalet was nice, clean & tidy when I arrived, and I have no complaints at all in that respect – everything was provided for. There’s only one additional comment that I’d like to provide in that the site is on a hill. You cannot take your cars on site and you have to trolley your cases and bags up the hill to your chalet, Chalet 68 is quite high up the hill. As I’m not the strongest at post 60, I found this to be a challenge! I was staying with family close by so could get some help at times, however, anyone that is considering staying may want to bear in mind to take smaller and lighter bags! It would be really helpful if the site would consider offering some sort of service for the ‘elderly and/or infirm’. Along the same lines, the stairs on these chalets to get to the main bedrooms are narrow and quite sloped, so again this can be a problem if you’re infirm in any way. This is in no way a criticism, as the chalets are really cute, but something to bear in mind for us ‘oldies’! Otherwise it was a lovely holiday chalet and location was an excellent for myself and my family staying on the same site. Kingsdown holiday park is in a quaint village and very close to the sea front where there are a couple of pubs (one overlooking the sea). Deal is close by, a lovely seaside town to visit with a few interesting castles dotted around, dating back to Henry VIII’s reign. Many other seaside towns to visit around there too, including Folkstone and Margate. The owners, Deb & Steve, were very helpful in making the booking and Deb was very efficient in providing information prior to my stay in their Chalet 68 this October half term. They were very accommodating and even after my stay Deb kindly helped me locate something that I had unfortunately left behind, so this personal service was very much appreciated. Apart from my personal mobility issues, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone staying here at this holiday park.
