This is a great rental home for exploring the Traverse City region. Fairly centrally located and easy to get to TC and Frankfort, but really nice to be away from the congestion, particularly during Cherry Fest. The house is small and efficiently designed…so if you’re looking for space to really spread out, this isn’t it. But it is very comfortably appointed, very clean, and we loved the screened porch overlooking the river. We would absolutely rent this home again!

Cabin rests on the peak of the beautiful Betsie River. Super clear water with gorgeous sounds. A bald eagle even visited a tree across the river each morning.

This house is very cute but I had several issues with the listing. 1) its listed as a 2 bathroom, but the 2nd floor bathroom is only any oldstyle tub with a hand held sprayer and no shower curtians. Only really useable for a bath, so i wish that was clearer on the listing. More like a 1.5 bath, but the first floor shower is very nice. 2) we chose this property for the water access and the firepit, but these areas were not accessible due to the staircase to these amenities was under construction. I wish that wouldve been shared prior to our stay as there is not a safe way to get down there. 3) there is AC wall units in the house, but upstairs its only in the master bedroom. So if youre in the guest bed ir loft area, youre not getting AC/airflow so would not suggest staying here in the summer months unless you were only occupying the master bedroom. 4) locating the correct property was a bit difficult. Theres no mailbox with a house number up at the start of the driveway so we ended up going down the wrong driveway to someone elses house. We also were provided a 5 digit code to get into the house, but the key lock was only 4 digits long so this was confusing. 5) overall the place was pretty clean, but there were some overhead cobwebs that wouldve been good to clean out. Also, the property is listed as not pet friendly, but i could definely see some type of pet hair on the furniture/pillows. So caution to anyone booking with pet allergies.
