About this house rental
THE LONE STAR AT REILEY RETREAT hosted by CTXBNB: Perched above the banks of the Guadalupe River in Seguin, TX. Bright, updated duplex offers comforts of home with a surplus of amenities. Great hub to explore Central Texas. Fire pit & hammock. Sleeps 5 ($25/night surcharge for 5th guest).
WATER LEVEL & FLOW
The water level and lakebed in the photos are accurate as of 2/16/2026 when our dam was completed. The water level has been down 12 feet for 4+ years to repair the dam and will slowly rise to fill over 6-8 weeks. We're hoping for a full lake sometime in April. We are unable to predict what the water or water's edge will be like while it fills, as it's dependent upon many variable factors. It may not be ideal for wading/swimming, but fishing will probably fine. We will update river/lake photos every couple of weeks. And when it's full, it's stunning!

This listing is for one side of a duplex. You'll have the carport/driveway, inside living space, and back deck (outdoor dining/grill) to yourself, but the lawn/firepit/hammock area may be shared with up to 5 guests from the other unit.
We live locally and have local maintenance and housekeeping available for needs that may arise during your stay.
Because we're in the country and near water, you may encounter various wildlife and bugs (snakes, skunks, raccoons, mice, spiders, roaches, wasps, etc). We utilize professional pest control on a regular schedule, but this does not guarantee a pest-free visit, inside or out.
You'll likely need a car to get around. HEB will deliver groceries to your doorstep via Shipt. Please check on Uber/DoorDash as those services seem to be intermittent here.

NO smoking. Smoking of any kind (including tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vape pens, and hookahs) is prohibited at this property, inside and out.
NO pets. Although we are pet lovers, this is a shared property with other guests who may be sensitive (allergic, fearful) to pets.
NO large parties or gatherings allowed. We have neighbors with full-time residence nearby who will report back with excessive noise or groups that exceed the home limit. Parking limited to 2 vehicles.

Our stay was quite enjoyable. Location pretty much had everything that you would need. Only wished we had nook for a couple of more days!!

It was nice, quiet, and clean. We had a great view of the river. We will probably stay here again for next years trip.

The house was so cute and well stocked! The river nearby is so peaceful. We had a wonderful, relaxing the stay. The neighbors around are as friendly as they come. The owners are the kindest people and make sure you have everything you need. We will absolutely be back again!
