Charming estate with a swimming pool in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this Bordeaux property and would book it again in a heartbeat.The home was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained and the location couldn’t have been better. We were right in the middle of everything we wanted to do in wine country, which made exploring and planning our days effortless.We traveled as 7 couples, and in a group this size there’s usually an uneven “who got the best room” situation. Not here. Every couple was genuinely comfortable, and each bedroom having its own full bathroom was a total game-changer. It made the entire trip feel easy, private, and luxurious for everyone.The kitchen was extremely well equipped and quickly became the heart of the house. It was the perfect setup for gathering as a group sharing coffee in the morning, opening bottles from the day’s tastings, and cooking a few dinners together without ever feeling cramped or missing a tool.We had a couple of minor issues during the stay, but the host was exceptionally responsive and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free.Bottom line: this place exceeded expectations. We loved it so much that we’re already talking about coming back and we’d absolutely choose this same property again.

This property was even better than it looked in the pictures. It is a beautifully renovated and modernized chateau with everything done to a very high standard. It was very clean, other than a minor ant problem which we were able to sort out with some bug spray. There is A/C only in the four top floor bedrooms but it's very good. There were numerous fans available and by leaving the A/C on full during the day, managing the fans and drapes, and opening the windows for a couple of hours early in the morning to let in cool air the house remained very comfortable despite having several 40 degree Celsius days. The pool was wonderful, and is larger than it appears in the pictures. It was cleaned twice during our 12 day stay, It isn't heated but given the extremely warm temperatures during our visit that was a feature rather than a flaw. The pictures online don't show that there are four large movable umbrellas which can be set up poolside as well as extra chairs for poolside and outdoor dining use. The kitchen layout is highly practical and wonderful for family meals. We were 14 in total including 6 children and the kitchen/dining area was perfect for us. There was no proper espresso machine but there were two capsule coffee machines which were okay. There was a charcoal barbecue which was a little beaten up and wasn't very clean, but with a little work we were able to cook most of our evening meals on it. An hour drive to the city of Bordeaux, but otherwise perfect.
