Without a doubt, the Pono Kai Zen Retreat is the finest unit on this 15 acre property. This 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is literally only steps to the warm Pacific Ocean! Golden sunrises, warm trade winds, and shimmering waters next to a mile-long sandy beach. Those are just a few of the things that come with this beautiful condo!
Every detail in this wonderfully furnished and decorated Retreat was carefully tended to. Here are just some of its new features;
- A brand new “state of the art” Kitchen with mahogany cabinets, stunning Rainforest marble countertops, and all stainless appliances. When not enjoying one of the many excellent nearby restaurants, this fully equipped kitchen will serve you well when preparing your own gourmet Island meals.
- A huge Master Bedroom featuring a beautiful King bed w/ bamboo carved headboard and top-of-the-line mattress. Whether lulling yourself to sleep listening to the gentle waves or waking to a beautiful sunrise. This Master bedroom is truly a retreat within a retreat!

The Pono Kai Resort enjoys a fantastic location along the eastern coastline of Kauai, known as the coconut coast, because of the large palm trees that line the coast. From this central location on the island, visitors can easily explore Princeville to the north, Poipu to the south, and other hikes and trails on the island in a timely fashion.
Visitors staying at the Pono Kai Resort will enjoy an assortment of onsite activities such as the onsite pool and hot tub, lighted tennis courts and croquet lawn, shuffleboard, putting green, work-out room, BBQ facilities, and activity desk for booking on-island adventures. Our favorite amenity is easy to access the beachfront paved walking/bike trail that fronts the property and coastline. Explore the scenic trail for miles in each direction.
To enjoy the beautiful sounds and feel the ocean breezes. THIS CONDO DOES HAVE CENTRAL AC. There is a portable unit for the small bedroom, and large ceiling fans and ocean breezes.

Location is very convenient - easy walk to Kapaa downtown for all restaurants and shopping. The unit is right front of the ocean and the view is amazing. Very spacious master bedroom and bathroom. The second bathroom is also well equipped and nice. Kitchen is big and has all basic needs including coffee.The unit is remodeled so looks nice but some electrical work is a bit crappy. Light switches are confusing. Some doors are not aligned tightly or cables visibly hanging behind TV, such unfinished work is here and there. But if you are in Hawaii then you may not care such details. I happened to have a chance to talk to the host. She is very sweet and caring. Overall, I really like the unit we stayed.

Everything was really great… except the pool and hot tub were closed due to gate renovations. It wasn’t finished before we left

House was excellent!Was closer to the ocean than thought possible. Pool was great. Lots of outdoor games and sports available across the property. Proximity to essential services was excellent: airport, groceries, gasoline, drug store, tonnes of restaurants, etc.

This place was very clean and spacious. Gorgeous Ocean views right from the living room and Master bedroom. So many extras provided for cooking (although we didn’t cook). Beach Chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, coffee. Etc. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars!!
