About this house rental
We welcome you to our little slice of paradise! Our lakeside home is perfect for a family vacation, girl’s/guy's weekend, golf getaway, fishing trip or couple's retreat at any time of year. We are an easy two hour drive north from the Twin Cities and just 45 minutes south of Duluth. The nearby town of Moose Lake offers gift shops, a craft brewery, restaurants featuring home cooking, a bowling alley and a movie theater. This area boasts great access to many recreational activities, such as, biking, ATV riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, kayaking, hunting, golfing and fishing.
Be one with nature on our spacious deck overlooking the gorgeous lake. Enjoy great pan fishing and swimming from our dock. Boat rental is available at Sand Lake Resort or haul your pontoon or fishing boat and tie up at our dock. We have 150 feet of shoreline and children of all ages will enjoy wading out into the shallow lake water and skipping rocks. Take a nature walk to the neighborhood park complete with a play structure, ball field, pickleball and tennis courts. Eagles and loons call our lake their home, and their sounds can be heard daily. Every bedroom has a view of the lake. Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise over the lake. Rainy days will be enjoyable with our large selection of board games or stream movies on the Smart TVs in every bedroom. Nights can be spent around a campfire roasting marshmallows and observing the starry sky. Your perfect vacation awaits!

Our family ( 7 adults, 4 children under 4) spent 4 days at the cabin, most of the day in the lake swimming, kayaking and fishing. We had a great time! The littles enjoyed playing in the lake. A lot of time was spent on the swing and enjoying the fire ring.

We stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiance, and then several family members came on Sunday to enjoy the lakeshore and our rented pontoon. We were able to check in a couple hours early on Friday which was awesome because we missed some traffic and caught a perfect afternoon. A great time was had by all and we really loved using the patio table fire pit. The cabin is spacious and has FOUR bedrooms which each have a window looking at the lake and their own television. I would like to come back with enough people to stay in all the bedrooms! The shoreline is unmatched, crystal clear and sand bottom. We were here in early August, so it's obviously a lake with high clarity. Amazing stay - hope to do it again!

Truly a lake retreat. No surprises (especially no next door neighbors encroaching on the space!) Well appointed lodging. Hosts thought of every need possible.

Our hosts were extremely accommodating and allowed us to have our family from Moose Lake join us during the day. The setting is beautiful and the Sand Lake is clean. We saw eagles, loons, geese and ducks on the lake. The house itself could use some maintenance and a deep cleaning. I would encourage the hosts to reduce the inventory in the kitchen and label the shelves so that everything is neat and easy to find for the guests. There were 7 cutting boards and multiples of many other items as well. This place is so peaceful and we had a beautiful time with family but we did need to organize the kitchen somewhat before we could cook.
