Enjoy a true Belizean bungalow experience at “On the Beach” in Maya Beach, Placencia, Belize. Located at Mile Marker 15.75 on the Placencia Peninsula, 8 miles north of Placencia Village and 6 miles north of the airstrip, our private bungalows offer 170’ of oceanfront beach and a swimming pool. Each newly remodeled bungalow includes a queen bed, sofa, living/dining area, covered deck, and a fully equipped kitchen. Amenities include kayaks, bicycles, a private pier, WiFi, and nearby pools, bars, and restaurants. Enjoy abundant wildlife, snorkeling off your private pier with a coral reef 100 feet away, kayaking to False Caye, or relaxing in a hammock overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Accommodating up to 2 guests, kitchens have a full fridge, 2-burner stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, and utensils. Reach us via flights from Belize International to Placencia or by car via Hummingbird or Coastal Highways. Rentals for autos and golf carts are available. The place was great and was so relaxing and peaceful. Only comment is Please Update your info bookAll of the WiFi info is completely wrong and only 1 of your 5 recommended taxi drivers is still driving taxi. Current and accurate info is a must.

The Bungalow was a dream come true for my husband and myself. Small, simplistic yet every need satisfied, comfortable, and a true Central American setting. Right on the beach, solitary, palm trees, and a breeze. A great hotel within a short walking distance that shared amenities.They actually made the best latte. Mark's communication with us pre-visit and during our visit was amazing. A great choice for us.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t ask for anything better. The property was clean, private, safe. Our host Mark was more than helpful with all of our inquiries. Very prompt and professional with his responses. If anyone is concerned about not having air-conditioning, it was not needed at all. The ocean breeze and ceiling fans were adequate. This location had all the amenities that were needed. Also close to grocery, bakery, and a short bus ride into Placencia. We would definitely go back! The property manager and his family were super friendly and everything was very well-maintained. A shout out for the nearby car/golf cart rental Leo’s. We can’t wait to return to Maya beach ❤️

The owners were nice and easily reachable. The bungalow was okay. The hammock wasn't cotton and seems to be rotting away. The beach was not very clean. There was sea weed and trash along the beach. This was not just at this location but up and down the peninsula. None of the local restaurants or bars were open past 9pm unless you went to Placencia Village. The small "mini-mart" across the road and down maybe 100 feet had dogs that barked all night long. It was very hard to sleep. If we ever come back to Belize it will be a different area.
