The cottage also includes a fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for whipping up delicious meals and snacks to enjoy with your friends. And after a day of hiking and sightseeing, you can unwind in the spacious living room, complete with comfortable furnishings.
But the real highlight of our cottage is the luxurious hot tub, located on the private deck. This is the perfect spot to soak away your worries while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, this getaway cottage is the perfect base for exploring the great outdoors. From hiking and mountain biking to scenic drives and wildlife watching, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

LOCATION:
This home is located in Stanley, Virginia. The closest towns are Stanley, and Luray, which are filled with awesome places to eat like Woodstock Cafe and Wisteria Winery. This property is located 15 minutes Luray Caverns and 25 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park. Make sure to visit all the close by local wineries, like Wisteria Winery and Castle Winery, and book a trip with Shenandoah Wine Tours!

You will have access to the full space except the 2 sheds which we use for storage. I cannot wait for you to explore this wonderful part of the world!
Other things to note
While dogs are allowed at the property, the property is not fully enclosed therefore we do require them to be leashed if you are worried about them getting lost. We also also ask that if a pet is left indoors by themselves, that they are kennelled in order to prevent any damage to the property while not under human supervision.
Please also note that due to this being in a rural location the internet can be a little spotty in inclement weather. The only wifi that is available in the area is satellite internet through Viasat. It works well for light working from home, streaming Netflix, answering e-mails, checking social media, etc., but if you need to be doing a lot of uploading, downloading, and/or gaming it may not be the best option for you. You may however head to the local coffee shop (Broad Porch Coffee Co.) that has free wifi and is only 15 mins away!
This is more of a remote stay and a perfect way for you to get away from the busy city and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature :)
If you are coming during the winter, a 4WD is HIGHLY recommended. The driveway may feel steep for those who are not used to driving in the mountains, especially if conditions are icy.
We always recommend that all guests PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE in the event of a cancellation.

The property was very clean and a private location. The owner and their assistant were very quick in answering any questions. It was exactly as described. It has a hot tub but unfortunately we did not use it. Our main focus was to hike and also visited the Luray Caverns. We definitely would stay there again.

A really lovely overnight stay! We loved the hot tub, firepit, and that there was enough room to accommodate our family of four and our aunt.The hosts were really responsive and thoughtful in their welcome info. We would definitely come back again.

Super cute, bright, and colorful cottage, with a lovely view. The cottage was clean, with plenty of space to relax, and the kitchen has everything you need. The host's communication was fantastic, and the check-in process was easy. I would definitely recommend this Vrbo.

We stayed here because we were attending a graduation at James Madison University. The home was magnificent. Communication with the property manager was fine except for the fact that the location for the home is a complete lie. The listing says about 27 minutes. I messaged the property manager and they CONFIRMED with me that the property was indeed 27 minutes away. After graduation and dinner, we head to the home and the GPS tells me it’s going to take more than 50 minutes to arrive to the property with no traffic. My family and I were absolutely upset about the location and the fact that we were lied to. The listing does read that the drive is in the mountains. Please be prepared for the scariest and longest drive of your night. Especially in the dark. Never again.
