About this apartment rental
Both studios have large spacious living/sleeping areas, with a modern kitchen off to the side. Dining is out on the shared covered verandah, looking out to the properties beach and your first choice for swimming and snorkeling…30 seconds away! Transportation around the island is conveniently located close by with a bus stop, and buses that generally run every hour around the island.
An easy walk to the Yellow Hibiscus Palm Grove and Wigmores superstore.
The Vaimaanga district is also famous for “Papua” (Wigmores Waterfall) and the cross island walk, a four hour trek that takes you through the tropical interior of the island to “The Needle” a large rock outcrop that reveals spectacular mountain views of Rarotonga, from the mountains to the sea! People generally start this trek inland from the township of Avarua ending up in Vaima at the waterfall.
MandM Studios would be ideal for two couples planning a getaway together but not necessarily wanting to stay in the same house together, its shared veranda being perfect for socializing.

There is wifi at the house, in order to activated it you need to buy a wifi card from any shop showing the telecom “e” sign, or buy a “data pack” online using a credit card.

This place was good value and had everything we needed. We stayed for nine nights. There was a generous amount of tea bags, plus milk in the fridge on arrival. Plenty of spare linen. We really appreciated the location as we love snorkelling. Wigmore’s supermarket is walking distance. Opposite Wigmore’s is a cafe. We did have a few pesky mosquitos come inside when we had the doors open, but there was fly spray in the cupboard. There are screens on all the windows allowing them to be fully open at night. Being able to do a load of washing was a bonus and they provide some washing detergent. The ceiling fan was fabulous and in October that was all we needed. We didn’t need air con. Having free wifi was an absolute bonus. We were able to keep in touch with family but didn’t have to roam our phones. Special thanks to Eddie as communication with him was excellent both before we arrived and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Thanks Eddie. We will be back.

It was a good location, just a short walk to a nice beach. Good shower pressure and lots of hot water. There was milk and water in the fridge on arrival. The place was clean, just very hot.Although rates were reasonable, there were some issues. If you're not bothered by lots of noise from all day and night road traffic, roosters crowing day and night, and dogs barking this is the place for you. Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning, just fans which was inadequate for the heat. There was no tv - even though advertised as having one, and suggested us to bring a memory stick due to local tv being limited. The bed definitely needs replacing. The phone was disconnected, even though advertised that there was a phone, and number was provided for the phone at the property. There was very limited cupboard space.
