Family Retreat at Conneaut Lake, PA is the ideal spot for family fun, or for a relaxing get-away. Located just blocks from Pennsylvania's largest natural lake nearby beaches, fishing and boating options await!
Conneaut Lake, PA is a picturesque small town featuring coffee shops, mico-brewery, winery, along with mom and pop restaurants. Conneaut Lake Park offers a beach, Tiki Bar, and is undergoing revitalization with several amusement rides operating during the summer months. Just 30 minutes from Erie, Pennsylvania and Presque Isle State Park with its miles of beaches, bike paths, and walking trails. A large amusement and water park is situated at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park. Nearby Deer Park has a fun family zoo. At Conneaut Lake there is much to do, yet not over-commercialized. Everything was fine. The cottage was as presented and clean. Nice quiet neighborhood.

The cottage is very well maintained and clean. Nice, clean linens. The owners supply some toiletries, which was such a nice surprise!!The kitchen was nice, with an electric stove. The knives are PAINFULLY dull. They are truly useless. But the kitchen has a nice array of spices and is stocked with plates, glasses and mugs. There was tin foil, ziplocks, and aluminum foil. The main detractor of the cottage is no air conditioning. There are no window units (which would be difficult with the vertical windows) or box fans. We were lucky that the nights were cool, but it was still really hot at bedtime. There are no room darkening features in the main bedroom. When the sun rises, the bedroom is bright!! Made it difficult for our toddler to sleep past 6:30 am. All in all, this cottage was so very nice cottage!! I would recommend it to others, with a few packing suggestions. ;)
