About this cabin rental
Royal Gorge Cabins is located just far enough in the Rocky Mountains to offer an authentic Colorado experience, yet close to a variety of exciting outdoor adventures and attractions. Located just one hour from Colorado Springs and minutes outside of Cañon City, the focus of our cabins is on providing you a one-of-a-kind lodging experience.
Our Double King Cabin features 2 bedrooms each with a king bed and flat screen TV with cable. The full sized bathroom has a spa-style rain shower head and floor to ceiling tile. The half bathroom is just off the second story bedroom. The kitchen includes a refrigerator and freezer, sink, microwave, two burner stove and coffee maker with complimentary coffee. The living room has a sofa, large screen TV, as well as a gas fireplace that can be enjoyed from inside or outside on the private patio. The Double King Cabin has a maximum occupancy of 4 guests.

We loved the two sided fireplace! Everything was very well appointed and comfortable. We loved all the grasses blowing in the wind! It was so fun that our cabin was named Sunshine. That is my nickname so we were so excited! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We really enjoyed our cabin, however we did have some issues. The upstairs bedroom was extremely hot. We went to the office to inquire about it and the took my number and said they would be in contact about a fan. They never followed up at all and we had to go to Walmart and purchase a fan ourselves for the cabin. The office also seemed really stingy with toilet paper. We had four people staying and we still had a day left and less than half a roll for two bathrooms. When we went to the office, they seemed reluctant to give us two rolls for each bathroom. Other than that, it was a beautiful cabin in a nice location for rafting. However, I don't know if it was worth the price tag that it came with.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed to have a windy night so we could not enjoy the outdoors for most of the evening. However, when it was calm, we did not sit outside because the table was filthy. Sadly, if the weather is bad, the interior does not really accommodate 4 adults for eating, playing cards or games.
There was also a blind missing from across the bed in the upstairs room. Finally, grass being mowed at 7am Saturday morning was rather disruptive to the morning.
But there were many wonderful things as well, including very comfortable beds and pillows, loved the hammock and the fireplace.
