About this house rental

IL BELVEDERE is a holiday home located in the small medieval village of Macerino di Acquasparta, 700 meters above sea level. It is the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday for those seeking the tranquility and originality of a small Umbrian village.
The house has been pleasantly and carefully restored and is carefully furnished with great attention to the choice of furniture and details. It is very comfortable with large and bright rooms (total area: 140 square meters) and for its floor plan it can accommodate 2 different families simultaneously. The living room is the center of the house (50 m2): with fireplace and satellite TV, kitchenette equipped for self catering, dinning area and sofa area. On the right there is a large bedroom
with double bed, a single bed (if necessary), sofa corner and a wonderful bathroom.
On the left there are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, sofa corner and dressing area; the other bedroom has two single beds but can become a double bed if necessary.
(Note: through the latter you have access to the master bedroom); there is a large bathroom, for both bedrooms, with tub / shower, bidet and washing machine.
Free wi-fi connection is available in the house.
Three mountain bikes are available for excursions in the surrounding countryside. The house has a private courtyard with table, chairs and deck chairs, for outdoor dining and sunbathing.
It is customary to offer a homemade cake and a bottle of Umbrian wine as a welcome gift. Visits to the cellars of Montefalco can be organized for the tasting of its wines appreciated all over the world.
The small village of Macerino is 12 km from Acquasparta, 15 km from Spoleto, 30 km from Todi, 50 km from Orvieto, 50 km from Assisi, 70 km from Perugia and 100 km from Rome. You can also quickly reach many smaller towns, rich in art and history, such as: Sangemini, Narni, Amelia, Spello, Deruta, Montefalco (famous for the autochthonous wine Sagrantino). The Roman archaeological site of Carsulae (3rd century BC) can be reached in 20 minutes and the Marmore waterfall is 30 minutes away.
Macerino is immersed in the green Umbrian hills where you can take relaxing walks in contact with nature. There are three restaurants in the immediate vicinity where you can enjoy authentic Umbrian dishes. There is a swimming pool open to the public with a paid entrance (300 meters from the house).
NB: The rental price includes linen for bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen and final cleaning; it does not include LPG gas for heating in the winter period which must be paid separately based on consumption.

We arrived in Macerino after our drive from Rome to be greeted by our hosts Maria and Franco in the square of the village. They warmly welcomed us and showed us to the property which was around the corner from the square. We immediately recognised it from the photos. They escorted us inside to reveal a welcoming bottle of Montefalco wine and a delicious looking blueberry tart. The property was everything we could ask for. Immaculately clean, very well furnished and very spacious. Everything we could need was provided, especially in the kitchen which pleased my wife who enjoys cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a splendid property in an ideal, peaceful country location. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed exploring the locality and our visits to well known places in Umbria. Audrey & David, Washington UK

Looked for a location in Umbria that would allow us to explore communities within the region such as Assisi, Cortona, Spello, Narni, etc. and also to relax and enjoy the countryside. Also wanted a space with "character". This property provided everything. In addition Maria and Franco were very helpful in setteling us in and feeling comfortable. An added bonus is an excellent restaurant almost right next door. In exploring the area we used both the local country roads which are very picturesque as well as the E45. The final approach to the property ( about 20 minutes) is a country dirt road which might at first be off putting but is no big deal. We generally approached the property from Aquasparta heading to Portaria then on to Macherino. About a half hour drive. Highly recommended property and hope to return.

This property is Extremely Beautiful and so very very well maintained and clean. Our host and hostess greeted us with a bottle of wine and a berry tort, delicious. The surrounding area is so very peaceful and beautiful. We were there for 1 week and totally enjoyed our selves. The home itself is very well equipped with whatever one would need. I could tell that attention to detail was the owners goal. Very lovely people and very lovely home.
