featuring 2 queen beds and 4 full beds in hand-made Amish crafted bunk
beds. With 3.5 baths, it provides ample space for families seeking a
relaxing retreat. The home features multiple living rooms, a 12' dining
area, kitchen island, and entertainment options including an arcade,
ping pong, and a pizza oven, making it the ultimate lakefront
destination. Located under an hour from Mammoth Cave, it's the perfect
basecamp to explore south Kentucky.

This "house" instantly became "home" to our family. To say that Captain's Lodge is perfect is every way isn't an exaggeration. Being better than pictured; we enjoyed every offering: hot tub, ping pong, foosball, and the video equipment all were big hits. The kitchen is a dream! We had a blast making our individual pizzas and baking them in the pizza oven. (a little tip- I brought frozen pizza dough balls and all the fixings) We'd never used a pizza oven before but it was easy and our meal was delicious. We loved walking down to the lake, which is currently at a low level but that made no difference. We fished and actually caught a few. It was fun exploring the shoreline for some pretty interesting stuff. The yard is huge and we enjoyed making smores in the fire pit, and dark sky star gazing. We would book again in a heart beat. This was by far the best VRBO vacation home we have ever rented. And we have rented quite a few through the years. The owners thought of everything! From 3 types of coffee makers to wonderful blocks for the kids and everything in between. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you Lee and Blake for everything!!
