The panoramic and beautiful views of the St Thomas harbor and mountains, and west to the small cays and the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico are astounding especially at night when the lit up mountains twinkle and glisten.
It is very easy to get to Water Island. After landing at Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, take a quick 5 minute taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina and then a 7 minute ferry ride to beautiful Water Island. Water Island is a very special place. The ferry runs on an hourly basis on the hour. Last ferry to Water Island is at 6PM and 9PM on Fridays. For special runs contact Water Island Ferry at 340.690.4159. http://waterislandferry.com/
Water Island is a treasure yet to be discovered, complete with a gorgeous half-moon shaped beach and bay known as Honeymoon Beach. The property is a two minute walk to Honeymoon beach or you may ride in the golf cart. (Golf Carts can be rented for an additional cost) It is recommended that your reserve in advance as they sell out quickly. We offer a discount to our guests and do not charge a deposit. The beach hosts Dinghy's Beach Bar & Grill is open daily serving lunch and dinner from 10:30 am to 8 pm; Bar is open from 10:30 until 9:00pm. Dinghy's offers a full kitchen, ATM machine, Free WIFI, floating bar, rum barrel tables with stools, flat screen TV's , and an overall new vibe. Beach lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, beach tennis, volley ball, corn hole and golf carts are available for rent. The kitchen employs a seasoned staff of chefs with many years of combined local and international experience. The menu offers beach side favorites: Bang Bang Shrimp, Tuna Tartar, big burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, tacos, fried snacks, fish, BBQ, Tacos, fresh locally caught fish and more... Villa Acquabella comprises over 6000 square foot (600 square meters) of open living space with expansive outdoor patios and galleries. The designer swimming pool expands the entire waterfront posterior of the house measuring approximately 75 feet (25 meters).
To entertain you in the evenings, we have provided our guests with flat screen LCD TV’s in the great room with satellite programming. Internet is available throughout the property. The fitness/game room provides a Body Solid universal machine, dumbbells and treadmill ; for fun and darts (bring your own darts), as well as the outdoor ping-pong table.(bring your own ping pong balls)
The great room contains a large modern kitchen with all stainless GE appliances, center cooking island and hood, with five counter height stools. In this open space you will find the main dining room on one side and the comfortable living room on the other side. There is a blender and a Mr Coffee filter coffee pot. Al fresco cooking and dining is just outside in the covered lanai. An outdoor bar and stools, lounging sofas, and chaise lounges awaits you for outdoor entertaining.

Lisa was amazing. She cleared up any issues quickly and was very nice. We had 18 people stay very comfortably. The location was perfect being right by the ferry launch. Definitely recommend getting a golf cart & touring the entire island. We loved our time there!

We rented this property because of the location, the views and the fact that it had enough beds and bathrooms to accommodate a large group, and the location did not disappoint. Otherwise, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The biggest problems were the lack of water pressure and the lack of hot water. The master suite is the highest room in the house and the shower was not usable. At best, water trickled out, and often nothing came out of the shower head. Similar issues made two other showers in the ancillary house almost unusable. Consequently, everyone mostly used three showers that generally had decent water pressure. However, even those showers never got warmer than tepid, and more often they were just cold water. Now, you’re in the USVI so cold water is not icy cold, but sometimes you want a warm shower. Other issues that we encountered were a lack of kitchen items (e.g., glasses & knives), 2 of 3 TV sets not working, and the fact that parts of the house (both inside and outside) are used as storage and ice making facilities for retail businesses that the owner operates on the island. The latter detracted from the ambiance of the place and led to strangers coming and going on to the property without advance notice. They were all quite nice, but it was not what you expect when you pay what we paid. Finally, the pool overlooks the harbor and St. Thomas, but it is no longer an “infinity” pool, and that feature seems to have been abandoned long ago.
