When you arrive, you think "Where did we end up here?", but as soon as you meet Mr Lucien, the ice breaks.
He shows you around the cottage, a totally renovated annex of his old manor house. A living room with kitchen with all the comforts such as an excellent cooker, dishwasher and freezer/fridge combination.
The bathroom is spacious and there is a separate toilet. There is also a small storage room where you can store enough supplies for a fortnight.
The bed in the bedroom is small (140 cm) and you have to get used to that. But it works, especially as the bedroom and the whole house can be kept nice and cool even in summer.
But then comes the climax: the garden and the swimming pool. A very well maintained garden of about 1 hectare that you have all to yourself and the swimming pool of 11 by 5 metres complete this stay!
The pool, by the way, is Mr Lucien's pride and joy. Every morning, even several times a day, when the guests are not using it, he checks the water for algae, temperature, purity,... He replenishes water, runs the pool heating if necessary, ensures the cleanliness of the surrounding terrace, etc.
A final plus, actually plus, is the location. You stay in the countryside. You have a view of the magnificent garden, the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, you can hear the birds singing,... Unfortunately, the exotic tiger mosquito, which can also sting viciously during the day, does bother you. A product with high le

Nous sommes allés fin Octobre à Sarlat. L'emplacement est impeccable. Au calme, et très proche du cœur historique. Franchement, en 10 minutes max, À PIED, on y est. Nous bénéficions du grand parc du propriétaire qui est tout simplement magnifique. Alors en automne, je vous raconte pas la beauté (d'ailleurs si vous voulez faire des photos de votre famille en vacances c'est le lieu idéal). Notre entrée est autonome. Pas besoin de se faire remarquer pour entrer ou sortir. Le propriétaire est très gentil, très agréable. Il est joignable et rapide à répondre si besoin. L'appartement est très bien. La déco est d'ancien temps POUR NOUS mais franchement, le logement est propre et c'est le principal. Nous avons tout trouvé pour passer nos 3 jours, produits de ménage, serviettes, draps, papier WC. La literie est super confortable et sent le propre. Je ne regrette pas d'être venue ici. Et lorsque ne reviendrons, nous repasserons très probablement par ce logement. La gentillesse et la discrétion du propriétaire a été très très appréciable. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Both wife and I had a very lovely time. The villa had all necessary facilities and was comfortable. It is in a very quiet location overlooking a large mature garden and all very private. It's location is only a ten minute walk from the medieval part of town which boasts restaurants, shops and bars as well as beautiful buildings and cobbled streets. The owner and son were very helpful and wanted to ensure we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Un écrin de verdure à deux pas du centre de Sarlat. Le propriétaire est très discret et fort sympathique.
