About this cottage rental
Boathouse living offers beautiful panoramic views of the lake from every side. Enjoy peaceful nights as you listen to the soothing sound of the water/loons in our upper scale boathouse, built directly on the water of popular Skeleton Lake. Known as 'Muskoka's Best Kept Secret', in the heart of Muskoka, Skeleton Lake offers sandy swimming coves, great fishing, water sports, hiking and warm summer sunsets.
Our beautiful custom built boathouse is a rewarding treasure located at the end of a 3 kilo winding cottage road, and is very cozily decorated with antiques, has an open concept living room with queen size pull out sofa, dining room and fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher/microwave). There is also a flat screen/satellite TV(DVD ). A separate bedroom offers a gorgeous view of the lake while lying in the queen size bed. There are lower docks on both sides for swimming and shade as well as a large upper deck including several Muskoka chairs for sun tanning and BBQ for your outdoor cooking. There are two kayaks, canoe, paddle board and swim toys to enjoy your travels around the little islands that are seen from the boathouse. Fishing rods are available. There is a boat slip available. Please review documentation for appropriate boat size. A boat launch is only one bay away! -Please note we also have a two bedroom cottage on Skeleton Lake. Skeleton Lake is 10 minutes from Diamond in the Ruff Golf Course, as well as a 18-20 minute scenic ride to the villages/towns of Port Carling, Rosseau, Bracebridge and Hunstville where you can enjoy exploring all of the quaint shops and summer time markets.
Please note that seasonal rentals both spring and fall are a minimum of 3 nights. The high season (end of June to Labour Day) is a minimum 1 week rental. The boathouse is set up for one adult couple and two children under the age of 12. Two children under the age of 12 stay free. There is an additional charge of 75.00 per person per night for two adult couples. Maximum number of people is 4. We are open from the Canadian May long weekend until Canadian Thanks giving. We are closed in the winter months. We are unable to confirm the reservation without the mandatory attached rental agreement returned. Please refer to the attached rental agreement for detailed information required to rent the boathouse. (attached to this web site under house rules). High Season rents from Saturday to Saturday. The boathouse is available for mature adults over the age of 25.

This was a wonderful location. We were very pleased with the accommodations and Lorrie was a wonderful host. Everything was as we expected, and Lorrie checked in with us several times to make sure we didn't have any issue. Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful time. We got to see the sunrise and set every morning it was spectacular. We enjoyed the morning canoe ride, swimming. The lake is so clean you can see straight to the bottom. The whole boat house was very clean and organized. Communication was very easy. Everyone was so kind and helpful. If your looking for a wonderful getaway look no further it's a trip that is truly unforgettable!
