Had a wonderful time. Except for being in an area of Guadeloupe that is more touristy than what we usually do, everything was more than satisfactory.

Our experience at Studio Cannelle was very positive. We were greeted warmly at the gate and taken to our apartment by Betty and Alain who explained how things work in the unit, which looks exactly as it does in the photographs. The apartment is located steps from the beach in the midst of the palm trees. Watching the birds and listening to the surf are enjoyable on the kitchen terrace. The apartment is very well equipped and we enjoyed every minute.

Right on the private beach, Canelle is a pristine, newly renovated studio with a good sized balcony. You can just about see the sea, but the birds in the palms are fun to watch and feed. The beach is clear turquoise and snorkling is a must. This coastline has the best beaches and a car is also a must to see the island. The zoo, rainforest and Death in Paradise beach, Plage de Pearl are worth the trip. Out of season we took a chance in October, but the weather was excellent with rain in between extensive sun. The residence feels totally safe, although a little tired, but the chickens are a delight. They were just ramping up for the summer season. The island is old Caribbean with French influence. Not built up and unspoilt in many places. Loved it.

"The apartment overlooking the beautiful bay and the sea was simply perfect. The whole flat was in a new condition, we felt home instantly. The facility with a pool, a tennis court, a wifi area, a private beach and a small restarant (which serves fresh bread in the morning) was in very good shape and cleaned almost daily. The controlled entrance gate provided for an additional feeling of safety.
The long and the short of it: it was simply perfect!"
