The property was large and spacious, the location was great. However the unit could use some updates and cleaning. The sofas and chairs are made from fabric and needs to be replaced. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. I would stay in this location again as it was very central and easily walkable.

Positives:
Spacious and attractive unit
Large walk-in closets
Good viewing from the front over the pool area & grounds and unexpected sea views from back verandahs
Well appointed kitchen
3rd bathroom on main level was appreciated
Negatives:
Security was minimal (no wrought-iron on key door/windows)
Decor was not very attractive and was lacking in general
No screens on doors/windows (we were told dengue fever was widespread)
Unit was in desperate need of a general sprucing up in many areas
Beds were too low and quite uncomfortable
Chairs/tables were too high and uncomfortable
2-seater in balcony has woodworm (droppings were initially mistaken for sand)
No shelving for clothes in second bedroom
Bathtubs in both ensuites were dirty and really needed replacing
Overall:
We felt that we were over-charged for what we got and note that up-dated, attractive 2-BR units in the same property were renting for US$100/day less than this property
