Welcome to 315 Eucalyptus Upper, a spacious and colorful second-level duplex home located on one of the most charming and quiet residential streets in Avalon. This striking, well-appointed vacation rental offers a relaxing island sanctuary just a short distance from the beach, local dining, and the green pier. The heart of the home features a light-filled, open-concept living and dining area complete with a 60-inch TV, vibrant coastal touches, and a welcoming layout perfect for family gatherings. Adjacent to the living space is an updated, fully equipped kitchen stocked with everything needed to prepare meals at home, designed to keep you seamlessly connected with your group. The comfortable accommodations host up to 8 guests across three bedrooms and a living area sleeper. The spacious primary bedroom serves as a private retreat with a king-size bed and its own dedicated ensuite full bathroom. The second bedroom also features a king-size bed, while the third bedroom offers a queen-size bed. For additional guests, a queen sofa sleeper is available in the living room, and every bedroom includes its own TV for personal entertainment. No smoking. Clean and well-stocked home. Centrally located and everything is within 5-15 minutes walking distance. Some windows wouldn’t stay open and/or were hard to open. The retractable screen door at the front door was broken. Can’t keep it open and enjoy the cool breeze without letting the bugs in. A golf cart would have been nice. Vons (grocery store) is just right around the corner! Literally just steps away. A huge PLUS if staying with family with small children. Love it!

This home was incredibly well-stocked and very clean! The location was excellent…a quick walk to the beach and right next to the grocery store. Would absolutely stay here again!

The host was very easy to work with. The place is so easy to walk around and very clean. My whole family loved it and should be come back for another vacation.

Overall, I'd say the pros outweigh the cons of this property. The check-in process was super easy - a lock-box on the door allowed for easy access. The property is upstairs, so if you have any guests with mobility issues, keep that in mind (my MIL was less than thrilled about climbing stairs). The property is in a great location, across the street from the Vons and just a short stroll to the downtown area. The place was clean and comfortable, however, there were a few maintenance issues that I emailed to the company when we checked out (I never got a response confirming they received this or fixed the problems). The ceiling fans were so loose that it seemed they would fly off the wall. Thankfully it wasn't too warm, so we ended up not using them. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived, and we had to hand wash all of our dishes...that wouldn't have been a huge issue, except that there were no kitchen towels provided other than paper towels (not the most efficient for drying a lot of dishes). The outlets on two walls in the king bedroom did not work, which meant that we couldn't turn on the lamps or plug in our phones at night. Lastly, they are super anxious to have you out before 10 AM - their staff comes by to drop off new linens around 9 AM. Be sure to book the luggage pick-up service next to the ferry landing if you plan on taking the late ferry and don't want to slog your bags around with you. For the price of this property, I would expect everything to be perfect.
