About this house rental
At 3 km from Aix en Provence, in Tholonet, rent T2 of 40m ² on two levels in an eighteenth century house on property of 7000m ².
Located in red on the front photo (the rooms on the right are unoccupied).
The apartment has just been completely redone (insulation, electricity, sanitary,
joinery, painting).
On the ground floor a fully equipped kitchen (plate 4 induction hob, oven, extractor hood, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, plenty of storage space, a round table, 4 chairs, low buffet, convertible 1 nobody.
Bamboo flooring + tiling. Underfloor heating, DSL and Wifi connection, TV.
Upstairs: bedroom with bed 160 x 200, 1 dressing table, 1 secretary desk and 2
chairs. Dressing room, separate WC and shower room. (Hair dryer, board and iron
to redo).
The windows of both levels face south with beautiful views of the garden, the pool and the banks of the river.
Outside, access by an old stone staircase to the terrace with plunge pool, table, chairs, umbrella, etc., and to the garden and the large swimming pool (6m x 12,50m) of 2,40m deep. Access to the pool is secured by a fence and an approved gate.
Private parking.
There are no other tenants in this big house so the pool is not to share. The owners bathe there when the tenants do not use it.
Linens and towels are provided
For cooking the basic foods (oil, vinegar, sugar, coffee, spices) are available as well as cleaning products. Possibility of garage bike.
All shops within three minutes walk.
Although located near the Nationale 7, it is a very quiet and quiet place on the banks of the Arc river (Cézanne painted Les Baigneuses), facing the vineyards of Château Simone (AOC Palette wines). Small view of the Sainte Victoire mountain north of the house.
Minimum rental: 5 days
Bus every fifteen minutes to Aix en Provence at 500 meters.
It is forbidden to smoke in the apartment.

It’s a hidden gem. Don’t miss it. Jean Pierre and Marino are wonderful hosts and the property is fantastic. There is so much to see in Provence and the Luberon but I seldom wanted to leave the peace and beauty of the house, with its enchanting garden, pool, and L’Arc babbling just feet away. The apartment is spacious, equipped, and cozy. I will definitely be back. I miss it already.

We stayed at the property for more than 3 weeks, and found it to be a small very comfortable accomodation ideally located for visiting Aix and its environs. The property overlooks the family garden, pool, the narrow arc river, and the hillside vineyard beyond. It has a full range of shops within 2-15 minutes walking and has private parking. Many hiking trails within minutes driving. The hosts were extremely kind and interesting people, congenial and very accomodating. This is not a luxury accomodation, but we very much enjoyed staying in this newly renovated apartment in a centuries old building.
