About this house rental
"Fairweather Cottage" is named for this home's original owners' wooden "ketch" that sailed to Avalon! This tandem walk-through three bedroom, two bath two level house (the second level is one of the bedrooms and both bathrooms are downstairs) is located less than two blocks from the beach, and was totally remodeled in 2008. Carpet has been replaced with hardwood floors in April 2019. Two flat panel TV's with DVD players (the one downstairs is a DVD/Blu-ray player), an iPod player, wireless internet, two electric fireplaces and many more amenities make this a great family vacation home. Just sit on the front porch, kick back, relax, and watch the world go by! 1159 SqFt 234CL | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

This charming little house is ideally located near beaches and restaurants, making it a great base for exploring Catalina. We stayed here with our 4 children (ages 4–11) and loved the proximity to local attractions. Our only complaint was the noise from the street, which is likely the busiest on the island. Gas-powered golf carts, city dump trucks, tractors, large utility trucks, and taxis frequently speed by on the narrow road, creating significant traffic noise. Fortunately, with so much to do on the island, we spent little time in the house.
