4 Gravel Hill offers a truly relaxing setting, with tranquil views over the churchyard to the rear and the gentle rhythm of a working farmyard to the front. Ideally positioned between vibrant Burnham Market and the unspoilt seaside village of Burnham Overy Staithe, you'll be perfectly placed to enjoy some of the area's finest eateries and stunning coastal walks. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a restful break by the coast, 4 Gravel Hill provides a warm and welcoming base.Downstairs is all about cosy cottage charm and easy living. The sitting room is a warm and inviting space, complete with a traditional open fireplace, perfect for curling up after a day exploring the coast. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, and there is also a dining area for relaxed breakfasts or long, lazy suppers, plus a handy shower room with a shower.
Upstairs, via a set of characterful Norfolk winder stairs (steep, narrow, and curved—with a handrail on one side) leads you to two charming bedrooms. The master bedroom is a pretty retreat with a king-size bed, while the twin room offers two full-size single beds and delightful views over the churchyard - perfect for slow mornings. The stairs are part of the cottage's historic charm, but they are steep and narrow at the top and there's no stairgate, so a little care (and a sense of adventure!) is recommended.
A quaint cottage garden with outside furniture can be accessed at the front of the property. Access to the rear is over a shared pathway.

There is no starter pack (tea, coffee, sugar and milk) or welcome hamper provided at this property.

Lovely cottage had plenty of character and was as described. Clean and well equipped- even had towels which we weren’t expecting! A torch would have been helpful when taking dog out early/late in the dark!
Overall a nice cosy break between Christmas and New Year - lovely long beach walks and good pubs close by

A sweet cottage but very tired and not up to the standard of other properties we have rented in the area.
Bathroom wasn't clean with mould around bath, hair in plugs and shower curtain disgusting.
Bathroom needs revamp as far too small - my children (5ft10in) could barely stand for a shower and bath far too short in length.
Garden is sweet but would have been even nicer if it was attended to - overgrown etc.
The car parking / access isn't great, particularly as building works being done two cottages down and so eight builders vans parking in a small area and the back path to entrance completely covered with building materials!
Overall, it was a last minute choice, served the purpose for sleeping but would I stay again? Probably not.
