Everything was wonderful. Loved the house. Only thing lacking was the accuracy of the map. We all thought it was closer to Ocean, not at least 6 blocks away. It made it difficult for my sister and husband who are in their 80s to walk to town.My husband and I would definitely stay again. We loved it!!! Very comfortable beds and furnishings.

House was well stocked with essentials. 10-15 min walk to Ocean.Bit of a challenge walking back up the hills. Did lose 3 lbs from the exercise so it was worth it. Quiet street, great neighbors John and Diane, great to have some one to lean on if you have a problem. Access to the garage is also a plus. Parking any where in Carmel can be a challenge

Overall this property is excellent. Wood floors throughout make cleaning easy, living room seating fairly comfortable, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms updated/excellent and access to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea or Highway 1 is easy. Quiet neighborhood and very friendly and helpful next door neighbor!
Minor items -- would like to see newer coffee maker, mirrors in two of the bathrooms were small for the ladies, I am 81 years old so the walk downtown and the return walk was a bit of a workout, but this is an issue not applicable to most people. Just comes with age.
The property host was excellent. Quick response to questions and could not have been a better host.

We’ve been married 41 years and this is the perfect romantic setting - like an Italian villette. Beautiful amenities, lots of sun exposure plus ample bright task lighting. The home is close to gorgeous walking paths, close to Ocean Avenue shopping and restaurants, Carmel Valley retail plus Monterey. Very quiet and so safe, lovely neighbors too. We were in the home for a month, working side by side, and really lived in it, cooking as well as basking on the front patio on warmest days. John and Karen really care about their guests - evident from the attention to the lovely decor to being responsive to our routine questions.
