About this house rental
You want to change the air, come to our fisherman's farmhouse in Port-Barcarès located on a real island, called the fishermen's island. You will be surrounded by the marine lake, 1 km from the beaches, housed in a house with a capacity of 6 people in a protected, natural and wild site.
The typical house incorporating the architecture of fishermen's mas is fully equipped for 6 comfortable people: air conditioning daikin mono split 3,500 watts, to feel good, in a healthy atmosphere and great comfort, whatever the outside temperature, hot or cold, wifi, flat screen samsung led series 5000 82 cm, samsung combo fridge no frost large capacity, sofa, appliances: microwave grill and oven all in one, dishwasher, washing machine, moulinex and dolce gusto mini me coffee maker, toaster , etc .... In short everything you need to feel comfortable with quality and complete equipment. The adult bedroom is also equipped with a memory foam mattress which is said to be the greatest asset, the cabin with two high resilience foam mattresses.
The exterior of the farmhouse has been completely redesigned with a terrace of over 15 square meters (one of the largest on the fishermen's island). We have added a beautiful pergola that covers the whole of it. It will bring you freshness throughout the day, and will provide you with aperitifs and quiet meals, with the family, midday and evening in a spacious and quality environment. This farmhouse therefore offers you a quality service on the island, between a renovated interior, very well equipped and a large garden with a terrace and a pergola practically unique to rent. Everything is of course accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Two bedrooms each with their bathroom and wc, plus a cabin bedroom ideal for children, each mattress and pillows benefit from protection.
Our farmhouse has a very large private garden (plot of 300 m2) and trees (two beautiful mulberry trees for your meals in the shade) with sunbathing, picnic table + electric plancha. This plot is one of the largest on the site. In addition, the farmhouse being located on the side, it frees up a large garden that will delight children and adults for your games, aperitifs, lunch and dinner, and of course naps.
About your young children, on request, you can benefit from the possibility of loaning baby equipment: high chair, cot with mattress and thus less load your car during your trip.
On the site and in the fisherman's island complex:
two swimming pools (one of which is heated) sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, fitness room with free access. All of this equipment is pictured on the ad and you will fully benefit from it during your rental. Access will be provided by your badge. An undeniable plus that will make your stay a unique moment. For information the swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna etc ... are closed during the winter season, from November until the end of March. Anyway, no place in the region can claim such quality of accommodation and activity in a totally protected and natural site, whatever the season, in summer of course, but also in winter, with the famous Christmas market in Barcarès, the largest in the region, a kilometer away on foot, with ice skating rink, mulled wine, snack bar, restaurant, tasting of local products, entertainment, all alongside the Lydia, ocean liner voluntarily stranded in on the beach. In short, a unique place. So come and take advantage of the spectacular animation in the region in winter, a 10-minute walk from your rental.

Had a great week as a family of 5 with 3 teens/ preteens, boys love the pool and workout areas, the proximity to really cool windsurfing and the sea. The house had enough rooms to give everyone some privacy, cooking outside on the terrace was fun and kept the smells out of the house. There is to be a completely new kitchen next year, but it was well equipped and there was a good amount of storage space.
The proprietor was helpful and friendly, responding quickly to queries. The basket off local biscuits and bottle of local wine were much appreciated! Many thanks.

Lovely little fisherman’s hut in great location. Cafe on site great for food like pizzas and chips. Pool is amazing and slides are awesome. Kids loved them and wanted to stay longer. We hired bikes and scooters and toured a bit more locally and tried a local restaurant. Very nice. Promenade good too for a walk. Beach about 1km walk over the other side of the island. We would love to stay again next time we are passing through on our European travels. Roland is a great host and understood us perfectly with our lack of french and the help of google translate 😁

Very nice outside private area, very small for 6 persons, only one Two seater Sofa, but for the cost good value, cooker and microwave were a bit grubby. But we did have a good stay.
The guy that showed us around was delightful.
