Beautiful newly refurbished large six bedroom house, located 8-10 mins walk from Killarney town center. Located in a quiet part of Killarney overlooking the Killarney Cathedral, Ross Castle and the Muckross area. This spacious house has two front facing balconies, with panoramic mountain and lake views.
Ad Astra House, formerly Northwood House, has a spacious kitchen, dining room, lounge and large entrance hallway. Each of the six bedrooms has its own en suite private bathroom. There are five bedrooms on the first floor of this house, while one bedroom is located on the ground floor. Two of the bedrooms boast balconies with fantastic views of the beautiful McGillicuddy Reeks mountains.
Ad Astra house is in a very central location and is walking distance to all the amenities Killarney town has to offer. Ad Astra House is the ideal location for a large group to relax and enjoy the views from the house and its two balconies.

Great house and host. Worked well for our family. Each of us had our own space and bathroom. Plenty of parking. It was an easy walk to town. The only thing I would add is outdoor furniture. Good stay.

This property was perfect for our trip. The house was very spacious, well-equipped, and it had everything we needed for the week. The bedrooms were comfortable and the covered sun room was perfect for our grandkids to play in. The neighborhood was quiet and a short walk/distance to downtown. Our Host Paddy checked in with us a couple of times to make sure our stay went well. We had no issues and would stay there again if we return.

This house is set up as a B & B, not a family rental.
Individual rooms with en suite; but no family bath.
The only cooking utensils were from a grill set.
Two small sauce pans, nothing to prepare or serve a family meal or even s salad.
On the second and sixth mornings, there was no water.
We were told to carry buckets up to the rooms to flush.
We left a day early with no acknowledgment nor refund from the "host".
We have rented homes all over the world-at least 20 of them through VRBO. We have been to Ireland many times; my wife and her Mom are Irish. We were a family group of 10 adults. I can say with some authority that this was substandard.
