About this chalet rental
Our chalet is located on a south-facing slope and therefore enjoys sun all day and views of the mountains and Gastein. The location is perfect for all kinds of activities. The house was built around 1900, completely renovated in 2016 and now offers a cozy ambience and modern facilities.
The chalet is in the immediate vicinity of the golf course, the horse stables, the tennis courts and Gasteinswimminglake.
Access to the hiking trails in the direction of Kötschachtal / Grüner Baum is right in front of the house.
From the house you have a breathtaking view of the mountains and at night the sea of lights of Gastein. It is 400 m to the ski bus. This is a perfect holiday in both summer and winter.

We had a fantastic holiday in Bad Gastein. The cottage is ideally equipped for families (we were a family of 5), superbly located with hiking trails just outside the front door, and in the fantastic environment of the Gastein valley. For our kids, this was their first holiday in the mountains, and they loved every minute of it. Special thanks to Stephan for being a very responsive owner.

We stayed in Stephan's chalet i week 11 2017 and had a wonderful holiday. The chalet is cozy, well maintained, very clean and has a great location in the out skirts of Bad Gastein (10 minutes car drive from ski lift in Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein). Our communication with Stephan was really good. He always answered our requests very quickly, and we therefore felt us good taken care of when we stayed in his chalet.
We give Stephan and his chalet 5 stars! Of course there is always a bit room for improvement. We've a couple of minor suggestions:
1. You pay a certain amount and then you've unlimited internet access in the chalet
2. Better information about car parking from the booking agency (we were a bit confused when we arrived. You park in front of the chalet in the right side of the street, but we thought could use the car parking space a couple of meters from the chalet. This belongs to the neighbors)
3. Better information about hot water. One evening, we ran out of hot water (we were 6 persons who had to take a shower every evening) and found out the water heater only heats water during the night.
A heated place in the basement where you could hang your ski boots to dry. There is only heat in the bathroom in the basement.
Above mentioned is only MINOR suggestions! We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed to come home from a great ski day on the mountain to a warm, cozy chalet with modern facilities. We especially loved the pellet stoves in each floor, the large and stylish bathroom and the balcony overlooking Bad Gastein!
Thank you so much Stephan for a great holiday. We'll definitely contact you again if we come back to Bad Gastein - which is (by the way) a great ski area!
